Soldier or genuine Copper bravely brandishing his cosh? Hard to tell. We'll have to settle on scum That doesn't look like the UK? The UK, 18th June 1984. When an evil bitch Prime Minister used the Police as a Political force and turned them on the people like rabid dogs. May she rot in hell.

There's plenty of testimony and plenty of pictures of Police at Orgreave with quite unique looking uniforms during the strike. Proves nothing of course but a full enquiry into that and other conduct might get to the bottom of it. Sadly successive Governments don't seem keen. The evidence seems to be of the weak anecdotal type. The typical one being that soldiers were seen changing into police uniforms. Surely they’d change in barracks and not a public place? I know old miners who said they heard off a man who heard off another man in the pub kind of thing. For military involvement that was not very discrete, there doesn’t seem to be any smoking gun evidence (excuse the pub). Wasn't me, I was out the gulf helping our mate Saddam Hussain against the Iranians I missed about 7 months of the miners strike, so didn't really know what was going on back home

Thatcher was a evil bitch who didn't give a fuck about the working class people.. She made a lot of rich people even more wealthier.. Wanted to squash the miners to prove a point imo.. What about football supporters under her government we were all tarred with the same brush if you went to football you were classed as a hooligan if you were aged between 14 upto 50... Fucking heartless bitch

I notice the Police were not wielding batons whilst these criminals went about their business. In fact there are none in view I wonder why that was

Oh pipe down you hysterical girl...... At least put a counter argument if there's one in your little head. I think the most straight forward counter argument is it was nearly 40 years ago. Bad things happened on both sides and the unions behaviour was a major contributor to the problem in the first place. Let it go. Why let Thatcher raise your blood pressure from the grave, she's just beating you all over again. Buy some eggs and go to the unveiling of her statue if its going to make you feel better. Knowing our currently spineless police you won't even get arrested.

Yet you always trotted out the " That was ages ago " when defending your beloved hero Corbyn, and the things he said years ago in support of The IRA, Hammas, Russia, etc etc etc.

I come from a military and a mining family and I’ve certainly not heard anyone say that this went on. If the military were to be involved then they’d be in civvies ( special reconnaissance regiment for example). Military dressed as police sounds unlikely, especially as the old bill would have had tons of man power. Ditto my family are the same background, not seen any evidence of the military to back up Mo's claims, I was part of the picket line during the miners strikes supporting both mates and family who were miners, there was shit behaviour on both sides and the Police I believe were under orders not to hold back, the worse thing for me was the bastard Police from outside our area waving pay slips showing their pay inflated by all the overtime they were getting during the strike, there was no need for goading like that. I have and never ever had any love for Thatcher and what she did to our area in particular not just to the mining industry, from a military point of view she was admired due to the backing she afforded them. I see they are pressing charges against four of those involved with the toppling of the Colston Statue in Bristol. Well, all I can say is......... Good.I hope that, when found guilty, the yobs get as tough a sentence as the law allows for "criminal damage". Yobbery, thuggary and riotous behaviour should never be allowed to win. Vandals to be prosecuted - BBC Link

Thought they set a precedent when they jailed the idiot who pissed by the monument for the PC murdered by the Islamist terrorist, we will see if the law is applied in equal measure to these criminals.
