No great surprise... I don't align to a particular national newspaper or app. I have my Google and Flipboard feeds, which produce a mixture of material from both left and right wing sources based on interests, and then the Sentinel Stoke Online app for local issues. But if the 'woke word soup' of an article I included earlier is par for the course with The Indy, I'll leave it to the lunatic fringe.

Shame that the Independent isn't featured in this survey, perhaps they forgot it was a newspaper?! Only a representative survey of just over 3,000 people but I'd say it's probably fairly accurate in terms of content, certainly where it comes to the media/newspaper side of things.

They did not forget, The Independent has not been a newspaper since 2016.

I am an unashamed Guardian reader. That does not imply that I agree with all the "comment" contributions, but in term of accurate journalism I find it very good. The sport section is well written, but often contains more on women's football than Championship coverage and I think it is somewhat ahead of the curve in this. Politically, you know what you are getting.

Still get it when travelling, and use their website more than others, but don't really miss it after being an avid reader (and collecting The Guardian Year compilations) for years.

I used to alternate buying the Sunday Times and the Observer but I don't buy either anymore. If I buy anything it'll be the Spectator (although I see myself as left leaning). I'm still a regular on the Guardian website though, as some of the comments btl are better than Titania McGrath.

Most people are 'recovering' Grauniad readers. I usually find a contained environment and a sugary coffee help 😉

Titiana McGrath is brilliant 😂 The thing is, I had to scroll down her page for a bit just to confirm, as there are probably genuine accounts with similar content 🤔

Some of her best moments are when she attracts far-right nutters who can't tell her apart from the crazy identity-politics crowd she re-tweets.

I'm sure Mail readers must be feeling very proud this morning and it is surely a great effort to raise so much money for PPE for doctors and nurses who are going without. Do you think any of them stop to wonder why such a collection was necessary?
