It's the kind of place that a few on here dream about, so are any of you upping sticks & going? Looks a lovely place. Link.

Rather quiet on here, you'd think this kind of thing would be a big deal. I wonder if it would be this quiet if it was right-wing Trump supporters?

Wouldn’t be surprised if it happened here. The government and police are weak as piss. The Left are on the March and nobody wants to stop them.

Sounds like the plot of a John Carpenter film. Where's Snake Plisken?

Radical Dems, Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, someone calling themselves Warlord of CHAZ, demand for the police to be disbanded. Time for the Judges. Democracy isn't working 😂

Within two days, they've erected barriers to keep people out (ironic), have run out of food, and a black guy and his posse armed with a rifle have declared him the leader and everyone else is shitting themselves about it- he's beaten up two people already.
Heh.

Didn't a similar thing happen during all the occupy bollocks even in London not with weapons or anything but they set up their own city and councils etc.
The problem with the left is that as soon as they get into power the first thing they do is concentrate on the real enemy the other parts of the left.... for them the judean peoples front / peoples front of judea scene is not comedy but a training video... .

To be fair to them, if they wish to set up a Commie commune, I don't really have a problem with that. It just proves that within Capitalism, they can set up whatever system they want to; they have the freedom to live that way if they wish (assuming they did it properly, unlike this).
The opposite can't be said to be true, a Capitalist commune within a Commie state would get smashed to pieces.
I wonder if we'll see another Waco / Ruby Ridge standoff or if they'll feebly capitulate before then?

Did you see how they're suggesting the use of drones for delivering water as well? I wonder how long it'll be before they die of thirst while trying to satiate a couple of hundred people with single litres at a time.

It was a bit trippy if I'm being honest You'd think they'd try it with some bigger names than Les Dawson or Sticky T Cake or whatever the rapper was called. Won't catch on that way.

I visited Seattle about 5 years ago and Portland last year. Seattle seemed ridiculously affluent, they're probably playing at it.
Portland, had some really fancy gentrified areas but a lot was far grimmer and the homeless literally camp on every street corner. That said I never felt unsafe there day or night. Their transit system is outstanding, football stadium and concert arena top notch, you couldn't want for better food and drink. There's just a massive gap between the haves and have nots. It's a city for the Guardianista's though, artisan this, bespoke that, craft market, craft beer (a big reason I visited), blokes with beards and tattoos walking around dressed like Judy Garland in the wizard of oz. Despite me thinking all that's bollocks I could actually see myself living there!

You're right re the wannabe new age types with money behind them prattling on about saving the Tree Loris whilst knocking back $20 cocktails as well

Have you actually looked at what governments are in charge of countries around the world? All the left has managed to do is fail to set fire to a flag on the Cenotaph and take over some land in Seattle. It's not exactly end of fucking days for the right is it Meanwhile you have the UK, the USA, India, Brazil, Russia, Germany, Turkey, Australia and countless other places under the control of the right. Calm down

Looks like there's some rumblings in Nashville for another autonomous zone. If so, I see that one progressing a little differently, but who knows in the current environment. What other places are next, even outside the US?
