Fun Boy Three seem to be largely forgotten, but a story about the Specials that I read today jogged my memory and took me to YouTube to hear Our Lips Are Sealed. I can't remember when I last heard it but apart from it being a good tune, I could not help hear the influence of Adam And The Ants as well as the start of it being very similar to Kate Bush's much later, Running Up That Hill.

Probably my favourite of Terry Hall's various bands & collaberations. Although The Specials did some marvellous stuff too.
Who'd have thought Bananarama could add so much depth
A mighty fine output of quality singles alone in just a couple of years, let alone some stonking album tracks.
1981 "The Lunatics (Have Taken Over the Asylum) 1982 "It Ain't What You Do (It's the Way That You Do It)" (Fun Boy Three with Bananarama) "Really Saying Something" (Bananarama with Fun Boy Three) "The Telephone Always Rings" "Summertime" "The More I See (The Less I Believe)" 1983 "The Tunnel of Love" "Our Lips Are Sealed" "The Farm Yard Connection"

love Terry Hall , and followed all of his incarnations since the Specials
every band he was with had one or two stand out tracks
This from Terry Blair and Anoucjka should have been massive and I played it to death but I don't think it charted
Possibly because it came out in 89 or 90 when the world had gone baggy, and Madchester was at its peak

Funny I was thinking about them the other day on the back of all the flag burning stuff.
I clearly remember them burning the Stars and Stripes on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury in 1983.
Imagine if a band did that nowadays, it'd be front page news ...

I thought they were atrocious to be honest. I guess after the Specials a hard act to follow.
Wasn't Terry Hall having 'relations' with Jane Wieldin and the Go Gos had a huge hit with 'Our lips are sealed' as was a bit of a secret at the time
