I don't get this "for the first time ever I agree with bayern" bollocks. If you haven't been agreeing with me for the last year re this club of ours you've been wrong and must seriously change how you view football I think a lot of us have agreed with you on some occasions before. But, given your reputation, I think many people try to forget that they have agreed with you in the past. I know I do! And I am unanimous in that! My reputation? Of saying stuff a good 6 months before it happens, they then get arsey with that and then usually agree 6 months down the line? I find it amusing.

For the job they're meant to do I actually think MP's and certainly the PM are underpaid. *Dons tin hat and retreats* Unpopular view but very true. But from what I'm led to believe the salary's MPs get for most of them is just a bit of pocket money compared to other streams of income. and for the PM, you are made for life. How much do Blair and Cameron get for after dinner speeches? They will live off that for ever more. It certainly opens up income streams and from what I hear not all very transparent either.

They do have the ability to affect the market though and know where to invest because they are the decision makers. I'm sure they make plenty of money on the side especially the ones in power and on the front bench. It's not difficult for a few hundred thousand to be shifted into an account for doing a conference is it as a way of being paid their slice. I think all of that should be illegal tbh and would be horrified if the shares thing wasn't? Where there's money, power and influence there tends to be corruption. www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/mar/08/george-osborne-to-be-paid-650000-for-working-one-day-a-week-blackrock-salaryDon't know what truth was in this but it's not unreasonable to expect that some MP's help companies make money and get rewarded at a later date.

I think that's wrong tbh. There's no way they should have second jobs like that where their influence can be used to make money. It's one of the reason I think their salaries should be bigger to stop almost bribery like that.

I for one applaud Marcus. We could do with a few more players like him that can be seen as proper role models. He's been brilliant. I can't think of a better example of a top football player using using his position to leverage something that is for the greater good of society. I like how he now says there's more to do. About time there was a top footballer young people (and anyone) could actually look up to as a proper role model. Cannot think of anyone better. What's also impressive is how well he articulates himself and how intelligent he clearly is. So many footballers are inarticulate airheads. Well done Mr Rashford. Just as I had started to despair of footballers and football generally.

Also why did Mrs Rashford have 5 children? Perhaps if she had two or three then she would have put food on the table? All that will happen now is the majority of parents will spend it on cigarettes gambling and booze which I notice was mentioned in parliament by some conservative MP yesterday. Absolutely outrageous comment on multiple levels. How can you even say that? Do you have any idea what people in the position Mrs Rashford was in, and the parents you mention, actually had/have to face, day in, day out, over and over again with no end in sight? If you did you surely wouldn't make vile comments like that. Oh and as others have said you can't use the vouchers for cigarettes, gambling or booze. I'm quite sure you know that. You should just try living that they have to. Just for a day. Just try it.

I think Marcus fully deserves his gong. However, I have it on very good authority that his manager was concerned that he was in danger of losing his focus on the job for which he is handsomely paid because of his campaigning. Some of the posters who adopt the "all those on benefits are scroungers" attitude disappoint me and show no empathy for those struggling to bring up families properly on very low incomes.

Especially given all the knob heads that play for England being tits. Absolute role model on andoff the pitch, and must be a shoe in for SPOTY Has to be fury but he won't win it. Fury: great comeback story for boxing and current best in the world. However, he’s a bigot. It’s not hard just to not say terrible things about minorities and females, it just really isn’t. Celebrities that do so are foolish and regardless of what they accomplish in their profession, their words are often too loud for their actions for many companies to be involved with them.

Why does it have to be Fury? The award is presented to a sports personality who has most captured the imagination of the public.I can think of no better candidate than Rashford! I personally would be disgusted if the racist, homophobe Fury won sports personality of the year.

Has to be fury but he won't win it. For sporting achievement which is what I think the award is for, it has to be Fury For sporting achievement, Hamilton trumps Fury by a mile. By the time of the award he'll be the most successful person that sport has ever seen in history (he'll be equal on WC, more polls than anyone else before, more podiums than anyone else before, will have more wins than anyone else by then also). Neither will win it though (for non-sporting reasons, as i'm guessing you're alluding to), so for that reason i'm all for Rashford collecting it.
