Thanks for posting this. It's good to see footballers engaging in positive action.
Will no doubt be written off as "virtue signalling" by those who think doing anything good in the world is hypocrisy and therefore not worth doing, but football, like all walks of life, needs individuals delivering positive messages and taking positive action and personally, knowing that people do these things is inspiring and makes me think about what I can contribute to this world.

That video just breaks your heart.
Looking at the twitter comments it appears he’s been arrested and it was his parents who turned him in.
Good on them.

Fuck off Bayern, they are all self interested wankers Especially the ones who play for England What I like about this board is that in the main we kinda all get each other and sarcasm is the favoured means of attack but in the US you’d be ‘literally’ jumped on for posting that. BM

Massive respect to Marcus, before all of this. At Stoke he'd be a legend within a couple of seasons.

There is an awful lot of virtue signalling in the modern world, particularly from celebrities and sportspeople with huge social media audiences. But if anyone thinks this is an example of it then they simply don’t understand the term.

Seems like a grounded young lad, heard some great interviews with him. Way beyond his 22 years. He's had to grow up quite fast with a lot of expectancy put on his shoulders.

Most impressive things that he has done is to learn sign language in my opinion. It's great that they do it but giving money is the easy bit for these multi-millionaires. When they give generously of their thoughts and time, it becomes more impressive in my opinion.
You give your time because you care. Him learning sign language for the reasons he did is hugely impressive and a real insight as to the type of lad he is.

Massive respect to Marcus, before all of this. At Stoke he'd be a legend within a couple of seasons. If only because he's a regular England international (good luck with that at Stoke) who's miles better than anybody who has played for us for years and would probably score 30 goals in this league?

Aah, normal life slowly returning. We haven't had a good whoosh in ages 👍 All down to government decree. Boris has just announced that wooshes are back on the agenda providing that the woosher and the recipient of the woosh maintain a distance of at least 2 metres!
