Hope not. Can’t believe Sunderland paid 12M for him. Though, we’ve bought some shite as well. After some thought I can see you are right. 12M is frightening. We would have paid somewhere between 14M and 18M given a similar opportunity.

Campbell being linked to Bournemouth could have sparked our interest. I guess we'll find out how good that contract is that he signed and how much of a stomach TS has for negotiating. www.footballinsider247.com/bournemouth-keen-on-campbell-if-they-lose-tottenham-target-king/Agree with everyone that I'd prefer to stick with Vokes and see what happens, I don't think Fletcher will be the difference between top 6 and not the top 6 next season, assuming we stay up.

A good long term signing along with Hayes, let’s hope Ward gets another contract too.

Just a lazy newspaper link so not going to reach for the brown paper bag just yet. His record isn't actually that bad. His loan to Marseille was an odd one

This is the same Bournemouth that is in 18th place in the league and in the relegation zone. Why would Campbell want to swap one Championship team for another next season.

I said this but I just got a smart arse remark back. They will probably be tipped to go straight back to the prem, like we were.

I expect (and hope) that for Bournemouth one relegation will start an unstoppable slide. Rather like say, Barnsley 20 years ago. Or Portsmouth. I really think they have been lucky and that luck is about to run out.

Naah, a club of that size will tumble back down to the lower leagues eventually, like Swindon and Oldham did.

Don't think he's anywhere close to being a Prem player to be honest

Good player,better than Vokes.
Remind me who actually signed Vokes. Was this one of those Scholes specials between managers.
10m..... unbelievable

Looking at the out of contract Championship forwards in the Sentinel article, we’d be better off signing Chris Martin from Derby, at least he has hit the net consistently in the past, at 31 got to be a better option than 33 yo Steve Fletcher Imo.

Was this one of those Scholes specials between managers. 10m..... unbelievable For the umpteenth time it was £7m + soon to be out of contract Crouch. (Whose big wages we got off the books) Ok of that fee was too high but no need to add £3m to it.

Fletcher isn't exciting but then again after our dreadful 3 years that's now the pool we're fishing in. He's solid, better than Vokes in my opinion and for free I think he'd be a reasonably solid signing providing we stay up.

We need Campbell and a target man .
A target man quicker than vokes
If our transfer team can't find a decent target man who is quicker than vokes .
They genuinely need to retire and give up the game
That is a very small ask

id rather keep Diouf on a 1 year contract on low wages than get Fletcher in
