If he he will be the influencial striker a lot of us think he'll be, will you come back and admit you were so wrong? I'll do the same if he isn't that influncial. What should be the target? 10+ goals + at least 5 assists? 10 goals and I’ll admit I was wrong

Any chance of letting me know when your next coaching session is I could do with a few pointers. Go down Clayton wood you’ll probably give fletcher a run for his money as would anyone with in a pair off boots Do you genuinely think that?

Something about the stage he’s at in his career and the situation we find ourselves in makes me think that he could be just what we need and vice versa.

Michael O’Neill is poised to hand Steven Fletcher his first league start for Stoke City as he goes in search of a win at Preston.

Christ mate didn’t realise we had a magician in our ranks You have to be that to make teammates better? OK, magician then! A basic principle of any team sport is to make the players around you better. Otherwise it’s just 11 individuals doing their own thing.

That rabona thing today was poor.
Just take it around the keeper and tap it in.
Great work for the goal though. Hopefully he can stay fit.

Don’t understand the stick for the rabona, unless it’s just standard Yer Da mistrust of skill.
It was hardly a sitter, it came to him quickly, it was close to the keeper and he improvised to try and surprise him and it very nearly worked.

Still think it was needless, even having just seen several replays. At 1-0, you surely just go for a boring, standard finish there, even on your wrong foot.

I thought it was genius and incredibly well executed. Just a little bit too much of a connection otherwise it’s one of the goals of the season. I have to confess it totally blows out of the water any preconceptions I had of him as a player. Didn’t think he had that in his locker!

Im with you on this one, thought he did well with it as he would have to lift it over the goal keeper and he did just that, just a tad too high, no guarantees even if he had lifted it naturally he would have scored, and it didn't look that easy to take a touch and try and go round the keeper, 2 players also tracking back towards the goal line

Perhaps it’s just residual pining for the days when we had top level players who could bust that kind of thing out as a matter of course. But it didn’t strike me as showboating, more trying something, which creative people do. To me it didn’t look like a straightforward finish, the keeper was straight out onto it.

Rabona was brilliant, nearly as good as Arnies. Some nice stuff from Flecther today, hope he gets fit and stays fit,
