Would like to think we have some friendlies lined up?! West Brom wasn't it? I would imagine they'll be playing competitively 11 v 11 in training as well......

How many points from 9 matches would you say we need, minimum ?

How many points from 9 matches would you say we need, minimum ? Tried to look at patterns from the past 5 years but there really isn’t one. The highest points any team has had in 22nd place after 37 games, in the last 5 years, was Bristol City on 38pts back in 16/17. Blackburn went down that year with 51pts. Last season the club in 22nd had 36pts after 37 games, yet 41pts was enough to stay up at the end! I’d say given that Charlton have 39pts right now, we’d be damn unlucky to go down if we ended up with 52pts and a decent goal difference, so I’d say 3 wins and 2 draws should be enough.

We’ve got a friendly vs Man Utd tomorrow, should be a confidence boost 😂 If we lose 6-0 that will be a good omen for the remaining 9 games, beat the bastards and we're down guaranteed.....

We really are invisible aren't we? To be honest can see no reason to show any of our games.

We really are invisible aren't we? To be honest can see no reason to show any of our games. I agree. Also think pre Covid form book will go right out the window looking at how Bundesliga results are going. Read yesterday injuries up 225% since re-start in Germany.Add this to 9 games in 32 days....anything could happen. Plus point for us is a larger squad than some rivals to deal with the strain imo.

I have a feeling O’Neill will have the boys at optimum fitness levels and the formation will work fluidly giving us 17 points!

How many points from 9 matches would you say we need, minimum ? Sod staying up, win seven draw two and nick a playoff spot! No, I haven't checked the maths/probability.

I think a point a game overall will be enough. We need to hit the ground running as our first few games are against 'easier' opponents and also our rivals, magnifying the impact of losses.
I think if we can get 7 from next 4 we will be safe. Only 4 from 4 and we have to start getting results v tough opponents.
A lot depends on replacing Allen who was showing some really good form, but we have Ryan and Jimmy Mac back so that's a plus...

I'm quite confident that three wins from our remaining nine fixtures would keep us up. We are currently on 42 points and I think only once in the last ten championship seasons has a total greater than 51 points been required to stay up ( 55 points - 12/13 season ).
There's no easy fixtures because everyone in the division still realistically has something to play for. Ourselves in 17th are three points above the drop zone and Birmingham in 16th are only nine points off the play offs with nine games to play, stranger things have happened.
Looking at our fixtures we do need to hit the ground running but trips to Elland Road, Ashton Gate and the City Ground look a lot more appealing now without the crowd on their side. I'm going to be optimistic and say we'll finish 14th or 15th this season which all things considered would be incredible given the mess we found ourselves in around November time wouldn't it.

I haven't read it, but I'm assuming they saw our boys stride out onto the pitch and bottled it.......

I hope the issue isn't COVID-19 test related... Yeah, did cross my mind too! Hard to know what kind of issue would lead to such a late cancellation, when there was clearly no problem at their end and our players were already there. Hopefully it was something more trivial, but it is hard to think of anything that would put the kibosh on it so late. Hard to think we wouldn't have had sufficient players turning up for example?

So assuming we stay up it's an extra trip to St Andrews and one to the New York stadium next season, congratulations to Coventry and Rotherham on their promotion.
One of Wycombe, Oxford, Portsmouth or Fleetwood to follow.
Be nice for Souttar if Fleetwood do it, selfishly I've never been to Oxford's new ground it's of only a few 92 league clubs I've never done....

I've stayed in the hotel next to the Kassam. The area is 'interesting' to say the least. The stadium despite it being relatively new looks very tired and only has three sides.
