I do get the apparent "one rule for us and one rule for them" argument that has been the basis of this debate and rightly so. However fast forward to today and we hear that PL clubs have voted to completely ignore the social distancing rules and allow tackling and contact training during practice In preparation for the restart of football whenever that happens. Boris has very recently reminded us about following the social distancing and hand washing rules as the number one barrier to transmission of this virus. It beggars belief and demonstrates the hypocrisy of our nation. Can anybody find any justification in this moronic statement from PL.

So to recap: there are intransigent sods on both sides. Is politics the new sectarianism?

I think you need to be quoting RWB mate. No he is blocked and I quoted you as you agreed with, plenty of people I disagree strongly with who put can forward a coherent argument or in baths case an argument or in essex's case just some random words, some of those will even use some fairly gentle personal abuse / pisstaking as I will back, the blocked idiot's crying offer no arguments just "You Tory" and some lame attempt at humour / abuse, lifes too short so easier just to skip and let "them" laugh amongst hisself sorry themself I didn't agree with him, I merely stated that his observations on some Conservatives on here could be levelled at some of the Labour element. If anything, I'm more in your tent than his.

I think I've found the FYD playbook... www.thedailymash.co.uk/politics/politics-headlines/how-to-twist-the-facts-so-you-can-still-think-the-sun-shines-out-of-boriss-arse-20200507196212Anyone else, almost literally anyone else on here from the right side of the political spectrum, would just say little about Cummings and BJ, it's so blindingly obvious that it's a massive fuck up. Almost the entire country agrees, check the facts and figures. And that's what you've seen from most of the right on here, not really trying to defend the indefensible. Quite sensible. FYD, on the other hand, seems to find it almost pathologically painful to witness any criticism of his Tories on here. It just cannot be allowed to happen! And then, if you disagree, you get blocked, it's quite sad/funny to witness. You can always tell when he knows he's made another fool of himself, his posts get harder to read, the grammar and punctuation disappear and his default paranoia setting of assuming everyone's got multiple logins surfaces again. They're all here in the last 24 hours...his last post being the perfect example of rambling incoherence.

The only people who I have seen suggest he never had the virus were you and bath (who may have been joking) you are deadly serious. Based on what you have said I wont be scrolling through an 880 page thread as you kept mentioning nhs leaflet lies now it seems its just people laughing at big words / poor speech delivery, if there is a page number or some actual detail that might generate a google link if I search I will watch it but cummings / nhs leaflet lie brings up nowt but the speech where he says most people think the tories dont care about the nhs and some dont etc etc I may be able to help. I've only just returned to this thread after a few days and I have not searched through it for any links. I have however completed a google search using "Cummings NHS leaflet" and I think I may have reached the video that other posters may be refering you to. I don't think it can be described as having "big words" or "poor speech delivery" but opinions do differ on such subjective terms. Try it: "Cummings NHS leaflet". The video I think you are struggling to find is the first result. Apologies if this isn't what you are discussing. I'm happy to post a link if you are interested and still have problems. Thanks for that got it now and watched it, I made the comments on big words / poor delivery as ely had gone from saying lying about leaflets to something about word salads. Having watched it seems some confusion on the question, he thought they were asking is this your leaflet -did you put it in the hospital rather than is this your leaflet did you produce it, so yeah ho ho he looks like a dick but dont see any lying there.

It is very odd yes. He's talking about insults as well when, from what I've seen, he just blocks people who don't agree with him. I've seen him insult plenty on here, and resort to condescension the minute he detects disagreement. Which is fine, but if you can't stand the heat and all that The condescending tone is a bit odd, really no need for it, he seems reasonably intelligent, certainly intelligent enough to put his point across without it. Not to worry, takes all sorts to make an interesting message board What's this, peace in our time? ✌️😉

Not particularly tetchy just a little short of time yesterday so was skimming and firing off posts on here before getting back to answering questions from two sets of auditors on march accounts whilst starting to get may accounts together but as theres fuck all else to do cant complain I'll be honest I worked the dogs twice a day 60% of the time even when it was 1 outing a day but I went pre 7am and post 7pm so there was no one else around so if you want to come and shout abuse outside of my house..... you cant as you dont know where I leave and you cant travel any way

That's without mentioning that we've been on lockdown during a pandemic.......

It once again demonstrates our hypocrisy ............happy to accept the flouting of rules when it suits us for money, entertainment etc but it’s a witch hunt when a person, hated by the media and political opposition, apparently flouts the rules to ensure his family are safe. I’m not siding with any argument just stating facts and wondering why there is not an uproar regarding the PL announcement. It was a football match and horse race meeting that apparently triggered virus spread in Liverpool and Cheltenham area.

Baroness Dido Harding, wife of John Penrose MP, is Chair of the Test and Trace system. She also on the board of the Jockey Club, owners of Cheltenham racecourse. She is a busy lady. She is also a member of the Court of the Bank of England and is on the Bank’s remuneration committee.

I'm afraid it is worse than that , many thousands attended those events from almost every part of the country. Certainly there are huge numbers attend the Cheltenham festival from North Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Berkshire, and other horse training areas.

And when it comes to misery I could highlight plenty of threads on the EE board where you're knee deep in it. All of which highlights just what a massive hypocrite you are. I have a bizarre and personal viewpoint regarding Dominic Cummings. Yes he has come across recently as being self centered, scheming and manipulative, and has behaved questionably, and those are the nice things I can say about him. He found an interpretation of the rules which apparently allowed him to "legally" do something that no one else in the country knew that they were able to do.
I do however dislike him intensely. purely because he is a scruffy individual. I am variously considered to be old school, or even an English eccentric, but I am definitely old. My opinion, based on how I was brought up, is that firstly you should dress according to the occasion, (working, walking, dining etc) when out, and also you should dress to your position. If you are a lawyer, you don't dress like a clown, or people won't take you seriously. If I am working I usually wear a suit as it lends gravitas and authority to my role. Cummings however, although a supposed representative of the Government who would like to present himself as speaking with informed sense, looks like a modern day Wurzel Gummidge, and always seems to wear the same old T Shirts.
How can I respect someone who comes across as being so casual and lazy, especially with this disregard for his appearance suggesting that he is being arrogant and showing contempt for his role and position of authority. I was taught that to dress and appear tidily allows you to work and think tidily.
So Scruffy and unkempt, and probably seeking to twist and conceal the truth for his own purposes. Certainly the sort of man I despise.
