Thank God they used the giant red circle, I'd have missed it otherwise.

So I now ask the question. Would you feel safe at all flying in a country like this internally?
Not sure I would. Mind you I suppose va plane could crash anywhere.

When you go to more ‘exotic’ countries, all forms of transport can be risky. Even walking. I got talking to an English guy in Kerala some years ago, who was telling me a tale of getting a bit too out of it one night & walking back to his digs in the dark, only to fall into a £@#&!n cesspit. He scrambled out of it, stinking & filthy, trying to find his way for what seemed like ages, only to do a complete loop & fall back in the cesspit!

I suppose like say you worked in a clothes factory over here. The fire Alarms go off. You all congregate outside where someone of authority checks all are out. Fire brigade arrive to check it all. If it was a real fire it's put out. You work in a clothes factory in Kirachi the fire alarm goes off. You all run for the fire door to find it won't work. Someone picks up a fire extinguisher because there is a fire only to find it doesn't work. People are crushed in the mayhem and an inquest finds several health and safety flaws.

Having previously lived and worked in Russia and flown in an An-2 that was more patchwork repair than aircraft with a pilot that was 110% proof who thought it a good idea to put the plane down on a main road to sit out a blizzard. Another time we ended up in an Mi-8 with a pilot reliving his glory days in Afghanistan, flying NOE - lower than the trees and buildings. Nothing scares me anymore.

A bit off topic but I was in Menorca a couple of years back with the misses. Met a fellow Stokie and ended up having a night out him. I ended up falling in the marina leathered. My mate had to drag me out (sure if he wasn't there I wouldn't be here to tell the story). Also lost me t-shirt (an expensive one that the in-law brought me, who is no longer with us) and knackered me phone. Other than that it was a class night. So I now ask the question. From the BBC:
Passenger Muhammad Zubair was one of at least two passengers who survived after the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Airbus A320 came down in a residential area. Health authorities in Sindh province said 97 deaths had been confirmed.
I'm amazed anyone survived given the size of the explosion.
