Senior players used to dislike like him when he was in and around the squad a few years ago. Attitude problem apparently?

Has he ever done anything in the senior team to make an impression?

He's got all the attributes to be a very good player but clearly something isn't right with his attitude.
He's bigger, stronger, faster than Campbell. As clever with his runs and nearly as good a finisher. But you can tell Campbell wants it more. He needs to find some desire from somewhere.

He did make a good impression at Brentford when he came on. If he can unlock that regularly he could be a real talent anywhere across the front. I'm assuming there must have been can improve I in attitude for O'Neill to have him in/around the side. Sliding doors moment for Ngoy:

Expected to sign today for Eupen in Belgian Div 1 by the looks of it How much for?? 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Sadly, only loan by the looks of it. Obviously on too much cash for the kind of club who are interested to take him permanently. www.walfoot.be/news/2020-08-05/un-international-u21-a-eupen-dans-les-prochaines-heuresKAS Eupen is still looking to strengthen itself, especially in the offensive sector. Here is now a young Belgian player exiled in England who should drop his bags at the Kehrweg in the coming hours. Julien Ngoy, 22-year-old striker, who was partly trained at Sporting Anderlecht, is expected to sign for KAS Eupen in the coming hours, according to SudPresse. He would land among the German speakers on loan from Stoke City. Last season he wore the colors of the Swiss club Grasshopers. He also went through FC Walsall and carried the best of our U21 team on 5 occasions.

We really are being hamstrung by the big wages we generally pay. Loans out seem to be the best we can hope for. I guess that is better than nothing.

You pay the wages at the going rate otherwise players won’t sign and then people would complain we aren’t competing and doing it all on the cheap It’s a no win at times

' Drop his bags at the Kehrwegstadion' is a great phrase, must be the Belgian version of ' In the building', I think I'll start using it

When we spend big money, clubs like stoke simply have to get it right. Get it wrong and you pay the consequences for a good few years.

Surely Ngoy is never going to break through with us? He's of an age where he should be in the First Team if he was ever going to feature. He'll be loaned until his contract expires and then it's unlikely we'll ever hear about him again.

But with Imbula, Badou, Berahino, Wimmer we've had a nightmare and 5 year contracts piled on the pain too

He's got the ability for the Championship O'Neill had him on the bench before lockdown but the fact he hasn't had a sniff since tells it's own story.

It just tells the oft repeated story of managers too scared to give a talent a real chance when it comes down to that. He played nine minutes in one game, and I forget how much in another. How much does that tell? Nothing.

Clubs like us get it wrong at their peril. Everton are an example on a different level. They spent terribly and their current exceptional manager is hamstrung as a result.

Nothing. I don’t think it’s fair to throw O’Neill under the bus for that. He’s given a few youngsters a chance When he could have just stuck with those older. Sorensen is a perfect example of a player who worked hard and earned his shot. There’s been a lot of general rumours about N’goy’s attitude for years. He’s never done anything at a professional level. He’s no longer a ‘kiddie’, he’s a grown ass man who quite likely was one of those alluded to have come back in awful condition.

I know O'Neill is regarded as a blameless god around here, but how "fair" is to play someone for nine minutes, in which he "acquits himself well" and then dump him? The reason N'goy has never done anything at a professional level is because has never been played at a professional level (by us), like given him 90 mins from the start of a game. It'a tough jungle out there to establish yourself in pro football, but sometimes a young player needs an arm around the shoulder, something he appears to have never been given, which may be why he's become a misfit.
