It might be just me but the current Muller Corner Yoghurt advert struck me as being a little odd. The short clip features leading British Athlete Dina Asher Smith and the curious thing is the way Dina is given a very limited vocabulary of nearly monosyllabic utterances. Is this just a very effective form of impact advertising, as opposed to a form which perhaps seeks to tell a story, or is it perpetuating a racial stereotype.
Before anyone comes back with a torrent of abuse about looking for prejudice where it doesn't exist, I know that Muller are not in the business of racism. They often use black athletes in their adverts, such as Katerina Johnson Thompson for example, so in this respect they cannot be criticized,
But in this instance it just struck me as I say, as being ODD.
