Don’t know why. But I’ve always liked listening to Jordan

He's right but it's never ever going to change.
Alli's watch or whatever being worth X amount isn't paramount to the story but it does make it more interesting and gets people's attention. The journos done the job they're paid to do.

I tend to agree, and the Aaron Lennon story was embarrassing.
Robin Williams, Gary Speed, etc - the media say how much money they’ve got and almost suggest they’ve got no right to suffer with depression.
If you’ve got a problem, you’ve got a problem. Wealth doesn’t come into it.

Jordan is bang on the money and is saying what I’ve similarly said on recent threads on here
Sadly the majority fall for the media bullshit and despise young kids from normal backgrounds who’ve made a success of their lives
Wtf has the price of the watch got to do with the story?, nothing but they’ve done their job in letting the public know their wealth and deviously tried to switch it away from the robbery
Wankers but the majority in here swallow it .

Jordan is spot on, particularly about the mental health side of things with Lennon and much earlier Gary Speed. The issue for me is nobody is going the full length with it, either by agenda or not thinking that far.
The full length being the money they are paid pretty much from day one, the way it is reported in the first place, the background they come from and the fact that they have to live most of their lives in a virtual lockdown like we all are now probably causes a fair percentage of the mental health issues in the first place.
The not being able to go out, hiding in VIP areas, house parties because it's easier because of the abuse they get if they try and mix with 'normal people' and then subsequently the abuse they get from a different set of people because they are hiding from the first lot, coupled with the advice they get from football clubs and agents. Let's not forget the social media side of things.
Then you get the double backing of the argument - look at player X - suffering mental health with all the money he earns!
I'm not surprised they suffer when they pretty much live their lives like we are now - in a bubble.
There is also the more sinister angle which has been done to death with how Raheem Sterling is targeted for the same things white players get away with - you know, like buying his mother a house!?

Jim White is a bellend. Whenever I hear his annoying voice on anything I turn it straight off.

Don’t know why. But I’ve always liked listening to Jordan I always thought he was a knob but then heard an interview about Palace where he basically said how could he refuse buying them as a fan. Admitted his own arrogance was complicit in his failure and fucking hates agents. Defo think that gave him some humility and even though I don't agree with everything he says it is at least well thought out and he gives a structured argument but, most importantly, will admit when he's wrong. He absolutely handed the 'kick racism out of football' representative his arse on one debate and you could tell he was getting pissed off with this bloke laying all the blame at football club's door. Jordan basically listed all the stuff he'd put in place at Palace given their social background, what had been done since so why should responsible football chairman be made responsible for a sociatal problem that turns up to the stadium for 2 hours a fortnight. Then he turned it around and basically said 'I've done x,yz, - Palace have done a,b,c - what have you acheived in the last decade as things are getting worse not better'. The bloke went mental but his answer was incoherant nonesense as he was expecting his tummy tickled. If I turn over and he's on in the car I'll usually leave it as at least he has an opinion that is usually genuinely interesting and well thought out.

Excellent points. The debate around these things are exceptionally superficial, everything has to be reported in sound bites and headlines which doesn't help. People who have got money who shouldn't be having so much money (working class kids and especially black working class kids) have always been targeted by our media and there is an obsession with making judgements on their lifestyles that doesn't seem to apply to others who simply inherit wealth. They are not supposed to have wealth and they can't handle it. It's not that surprising in the society we live in tbh.

I kind of disliked Jordan at the time of the Akinbiyi incident as was him who held up him signing for us due to holding back his severance pay but if you give a player a big contract then be prepared. You could argue I guess that Ade was being greedy but Palace agreed his original deal.
He's excellent in the radio, let's not forget he was recently car-jacked himself for his expensive watch in London
