Would imagine for away fans coming to our place is a right shit away day, pubs wise. You’d actually be surprised if you venture onto the opposition site before the match here how much they look forward to Stoke away Stoke has the glebe, white star and LRAH etc etc or a Spoons to caters for everybody and all are used by away fans You’d be surprised how many away fans use Hanley or Newcastle also As with us when we travel we never drink around a stadium

The Ship and Mitre is easily one of if not the best pubs in Liverpool. Huge choice of great beer. Hoping to get it in my Stag do when it comes around. OK, saddo here and maybe locked down too long buuuut.. There is a pub in Liverpool and their bogs are, as I understand it, a grade one listed building. I love architecture, ceramics, beer and weeing somewhere nice (yeah, we’ve all been at those away games) We all have to dream riiight? I'm guessing you've seen the ceramics in the gents in the North Staffs Hotel? Well worth a look if you haven't.

Another great place is one called The Bridewell which is converted old Prison cells, bit fancy with table service and their cocktails destroy you, pure alcohol.

not necessarily the best but the harvester at swansea by the away end was rammed the season we got relegated and that welsh bird had no hesitation in standing on the table and getting her tits out for the lads, fair play

By way of a bit of sado-masochism I got to thinking about all the great boozers we have visited over the years following the mighty Potters around the UK...and elsewhere I am torn between the Southampton Arms in Kentish Town (v Arsenal) and the Ship Isis in Sunderland, both had a great selection of top notch ales to sample...Southampton Arms maybe shades it by way of their excellent pork baps I'm sure others will have plenty to add to the list...giving us ideas for the future ‘The South’ as it’s called to us locals (I live less than a mile away) is an unusual, unique pub in many ways, especially when it reopened under its new guise over ten years ago with its simple vinyl only, cash only, and rotating ciders and ales. It’s won a lot of CAMRA awards, and there lies one of the main problems. Besides, you couldn’t swing a cat in there, it tends to get overcrowded, especially at the weekends, with people coming from afar. All said, even though I don’t go there often (and sometimes long for it’s previous incarnation as a family run, old school type of pub), it’s worth a visit. Did you go to Gospel Oak Overground station (10 minute walk away) to get to the game? If so, I can recommend the Tapping the Admiral pub in Kentish Town if your going to an Arsenal game. It’s a 2 minute walk from Kentish Town West Overground station, which is 3 stops from Highbury & Islington station. www.tappingtheadmiral.com/Funnily enough, The Southampton Arms is my regular boozer too - and although it might not spring to mind as a good pub for the likes of Brentford and QPR, is where I take my mates before we jump on the Overground. Not stuck for good pubs broadly in this neck of the woods - The Pineapple, The Duke's Head, Dartmouth Arms (which they've unfortunately made a mess of) and the array down in Crouch End. Tapping The Admiral is new to me and looks right up my street - definitely somewhere I'll be going once this is all over.

I like the Manchester clubs for away days, as the northern quarter etc is brilliant with some cracking beer.
My belly simply loves West Brom away and the kebabs though

Post Office Vaults near New Street is class. Ship and Mitre in Liverpool is a favourite if mine too. Is that the Post Office Vaults down the staircase underground actually on New St? It’s a very strange place indeed. Like going back 100 years.

I honestly can’t remember any of the pubs at Fulham but that’s one of the grounds where you look around at half time and some of the fans are asleep they’re that pissed lol

Muddy Murphy's Singapore. Starring JoeinOz on 1m. And my good self leading the Delilah. Ely and his Lads were there, Darksideofthe moon, Franklin and a few others. Bloody expensive though!

The Dartmouth Arms is now my local; I agree it's not as good as it used to be, but I like the quiet back street feel of it; plus I've been using it, on and off, for nearly 50 years.

This season I would put the Fuller Pub we were in before the Brentford game. Ale was fine, the Pub had a good atmosphere & with Stokies about they sold out on the BBQ at the rear

That's the one Some cracking drinking pubs around there the Old Joint Stock, The Wellington, Old Contemptibles, Old Royal and Craven Arms just further afield. Plenty of good beer within 5 minutes of each other, not forgetting the Post Office Vaults.
