Jonathan Pearce had done nothing but criticise him all game. Good way to answer even though they went out. Great goal.

Love a good scissor kick me, pure quality a couple of years to go before we start attracting these sort of players again. In Michael we trust.

I wasn't his biggest fan, but even I'd have to say that you're under rating his abilities as a footballer there. * unless of course you're taking the piss

Better than Arnie? Better than Nzonzi? Better than Fuller? Better than Bojan? Better than Etherington? In his position, I'd play Arnie, Pennant and Lawrence ahead of shaqiri.

Rarely did enough in a stoke shirt and always played like he was doing us a favour. Good player obviously. Not a great one. We've had much better.

The rest you mention.....l’ll give you Nzonzi, but the rest better than Shaq? Really?

To be far not much between most of them Your massively over rating Lawrence though. Stoke hero but not at the level of the others

In all the years I've watched Stoke, shaqiri wouldn't get in a 3rd team at stoke when it comes to wingers/forward players.

I guess it's about opinions No it isn’t. Some people are just wrong... Shaqiri has done it at the very highest levels of international football as I said. Not a fluke to do it in 3 tournaments but each to their own opinion. Don't really think is that important who rates who higher than others as everyone has their favourites and often with hindsight some remember players being far better than they were but not that important I guess. That Kofi Nyamah was some boy.

He didn't track back enough for you did he Dave? H Goals and assists. He didn't do enough of either given that was his sole purpose in the team. Undoubtedly talented. Didn't do anywhere near enough regularly enough. At times, he'd score or create a goal then strut around like he'd done his bit. That was my problem with him. He rarely did a lot. He was far to content to do a bit.

He was far to content to do a bit. I have to agree with this. I loved some of his moments in a Stoke City shirt and I don't in any way regret that he was part of our club for three years. But he was frustrating more often than not. We all know he only joined Stoke City because he couldn't get a better offer elsewhere, and there was a reason for that. There was no way Liverpool would have bought him if they had had to pay his full market value.
