So I was off work 7 weeks and did my very best to avoid going to shops and when I did about 3 times out the whole 7 week I kept my distance. Been back work 2 days and it's impossible not to be in close contact with people. I've pretty much been within touching distance off about 50 people easy. We are all wearing masks and there is markings all over but it is just not possible. Oh well least the economy is slowly getting going. Also driving home past parks and every bench is taken and the streets are filling up with people again. Anyone else struggling to keep distance at work

The fishing has opened up. A mate tells me that the pegs are 10 metres apart at his pool but the new rule is that anglers must be 15 metres away from each other so they've lost half the pegs. Who makes this crap up?

Golf yesterday. All benches and litter bins on course roped off.
Two balls and single players. Went well.
In a work/manufacturing environment I can imagine the difficulties.

People can also play tennis again now, but they can only play singles and they can't touch the ball at all unless they're the one who brought it along! So when it comes to serving, you can imagine all the points from aces being a bit one-sided. I suppose they'd have to bring a box of balls each, and spray one set yellow and leave the others white to make this workable.

Imagine if you work in a high rise office block, like Canary Wharf, you'd be queuing hours just for the lift, as surely to keep the 2M protocol the lifts would only be able to hold 1 or 2 people at a time. Attachment Deleted

Looks like it might be reduced to 1 metre plus from early July. The "plus" would be PPE where necessary.
This would allow some restaurants, cafes and gyms etc to do some indoor business.

The two metre rule has gone imo there have been too many large gatherings for it to hold any credence now. I'll use common sense as I've done from day one but I'm afraid I'll go and see who I want if they are agreeable to a visit and will allow people to visit me.

Can anybody point me in the direction of any conclusive scientific proof that 1 metre is any less dangerous than 2 metres, without the aid of some absurd graphic or animation of people coughing or sneezing directly into each other's faces?

People follow this better now than at the beginning. My experience.
Some even wear face masks.
All in line with the criticism vs The People Health Agency at last.
