As Chair of the Supporters Club I emailed the club about this today. I got a reply in less than half an hour which is pretty impressive for a hot Sunday. There is a senior management meeting this week after which we may have some dates. I do have a lot of sympathy with the Club on this one. Staff are working from home and this is a major financial undertaking, and of course for much of the lockdown its been unclear when or if or under what conditions the Championship will resume. There are of course three different types of refund due - those who have tickets for Reading and/or Wigan away; season card holders and those who have brought individual home match tickets. At the risk of stating the obvious, no-one yet knows what the position will be for next season, which makes it impossible to offer the refund against the cost of next years season card for those who hadn't already purchased one. The FA's worst case scenario is that we might go the whole of next season without crowds in grounds. Let's pray not. And we await to see what the position will be with streamed Championship games. The legal position is clear, if you have brought something which isn't then provided, you are entitled to a refund, but all football clubs will be looking at offers designed to keep their customers and keep money in their bank account at a very difficult time cash-flow wise. It now looks almost certain unless the virus position deteriorates that the Championship will be played out behind closed doors. I think the EFL are following in the slipstream of the PL in this - letting the PL take the lead and sort out the problems. Whatever decisions were to be made fans were never going to be attend games this should have been sorted ages ago ... What if the league was suspended until fans were able to return? To be fair the decision wasn't made ages ago.

I understand that everyone's situation is different but from a personal point of view the club can donate my last 4 home games season ticket money to whatever charity they feel fit.The club have been superb with season ticket prices over the years that they can even keep it for themselves if they want. I have tickets for Wigan and Reading away and would expect a refund but as those two clubs are not as financially secure as many,I reckon that money has been spent and they would struggle to repay it.

The issues Stoke fans are facing regarding refunds for the Reading & Wigan matches will be the same as the problems I'm sure fans all around the country are facing right now. Middlesbrough & Barnsley fans may have pre-purchased tickets as away fans from their respective clubs for upcoming games that were due to take place at the Bet365 so its likely affecting them to & I doubt they've had refunds just yet.
I'm sure in a few weeks time as more club staff start returning to work, clubs will be liasing with each other & appropriate monies will be worked out & refunds offered in due course regardless of if its the responsibility of their own club or the opposition.
It is frustrating having to wait but unfortunately think its an issue that hasn't been top of any clubs agenda's at the moment especially as staff who are actually working from the ground itself will have been sparce if in infact anyones been there at all aside from the groundsman & his staff as it looks as though the pitch has been relaid during the break.
I'm sure all will get sorted, its just going to take abit more time of sorting things out.
As for season ticket refunds, I'm sure the club will try to offer incentives or initiatives to try to appease fans without having to give refunds out. As others have suggested, the club donating to charities is one possibility. Or maybe vouchers for use in the club shop offered as a kind of compensation perhaps. Or something that will tie in with purchasing a season ticket for the 20/21 season whenever that may start up again.

I didn't renew in March because I saw the crisis coming and chose to keep my money in my pocket till we knew what was happening long term. I'm fully intending to renew though whenever crowds are allowed back in and a credit towards a new season ticket or part season ticket would be a good way of rewarding loyal fans and encouraging renewals from a fan base that will undoubtedly have been hit in the pocket by this.

As chair of the Supporters Council I speak to the club on a regular basis and I am confident a statement on refunds and the situation regarding streaming will be made before the season resumes. I have said it before, but it is not as simple as providing a bank transfer to everyone. For example, the club need to work out at what time period each season ticket was purchased as that will determine the amount of each refund.
I do believe the club will do the right thing. I see that Millwall have decided to offer streaming free of charge instead of issuing refunds and Barnsley are asking fans to forgo refunds. Whilst we have wealthy owners refunds will come from the FFP pot not any owners pockets.

FFP will have to be amended somewhat for the affect this season is going to have or you may as well start the next season with everyone on minus 10.

I hate Wigan and theyve got£150 of mine helping to keep the shit house going. Checked the Stoke website and no mention. Does anyone know anything?? I emailed the club about this last week (1st June) and got the following reply: We've been unable to process refunds for away match tickets as we haven’t been able to access the Ticket Office.
Also, the game at Wigan is not yet called off/cancelled. It is still a live fixture.
All away match tickets still have a value until such time as the game is finally called off.
This means that we would have to see the physical tickets before processing a refund (fans would need to post them to us). As the bet365 Stadium and Ticket Office has been closed, there’s no process we could operate for receiving tickets and giving refunds.
However, we are reintegrating key staff back at the bet365 Stadium from today, so we will address the matter asap and communicate to all fans. Until this time we can only apologise and ask for the patience and understanding of loyal supporters like yourself.
I've heard nothing more since but to be fair they have lots to deal with and the game isn't for a while... assuming it goes ahead at all! The interesting thing is we all may need to post the tickets back in. No idea where mine's gone too! And in any case they would have a record of purchases by card to refer to.

My mate a big fan of the unwashed ( yes I know ) has had a letter from them. They have sent a letter to 4000 season ticket holders offering a full refund for the 5 games they had cancelled. I'd assume most won't take up the offer or they would be in trouble.
