So then, who are the best players in Scotland?
Who are the best players we stand a chance of signing in Scotland?

So then, who are the best players in Scotland? Who are the best players we stand a chance of signing in Scotland? The article clearly has the manager talking about young players approx 21 years old, they won't be (probably) the best players up there right now. The question is will we sign hungry young players with good potential or just cheap nobody's? Got to back the manager

Got to back the manager I know hence the two different questions I know fuck all about Scottish football other than it's wank From what I've seen it certainly is. However even over the last few years we can see there can be some good players there.

Which I can live with (obviously) if he could transfer that across to English football at a higher level but a big ask.

Luke McGowan of Ayr United (midfield) is highly rated. Might also be worth Looking at Scott Fraser from Burton who’s on a free this summer ( well he’s Scottish).

Scottish football has degraded over the years, a lot of the so-called stand out players in the premier league are foreign imports. its slow and uninspiring for the most part its not helped by having 1 team with all the money, one playing catch up and the rest playing for 3rd and a european place which usually ends up in losing to a unheard of team in eastern or north european team. may be a few younger players at best but like we have with Souttar work in progress. you may as well look at non league players a few more of them and closer to home to watch.

Don't forget the brilliant tosh mckinley Real good player in his time but when we signed him he was at that stage he should be looking to run a post office rather than play football. Was impressive v Brazil at the World Cup but best remembered by us for slapping Craig Hignett

McGrory our best Scotsman surely? Anyone remember Jimmy McGroarty who we signed from Finn Harps? Scored v Mansfield, a shot the Queen Mother would have saved , didn't stay long, went back to NI I think.

Am I missing your point if I point out that he was Irish? I know he was Irish , just asked the question as his name sounded like McGrory. To be fair he had a Scottish next door neighbour. Iain Munro played v Maradona at Hampden just before he joined us in that game where Maradona and Luque took them apart.

Dave Mackay Ally McCoist Ian Ure Tosh McKinlay Not many decent 'keepers though! Nowadays the Scottish teams seem to 'shop' in Europe and further afield, so their youngsters don't get to come through quite so much...seem to remember similar happening elsewhere...
