Saturday home match, and i'd usually be doing final checks before departing. Sufficient air in bicycle tyres, spot of lubricant on cogs, weather forecast, wife preparing prawn salad rolls for my mate and myself (as she has done since joining the Premiership), beer tokens and Season card. The Hull game seems a distant past and it appears we're in for a marathon and not a short sprint and who knows when we will be going to matches again? Therefore, its time to wish all of those people who make match days so memorable (besides the team), best wishes and hope there aren't gaps on nearby seats at the BET365 when soccer does return, or familiar faces missing from the hostelries we visit before and after the match. For my part, sincere best wishes to the smiling, welcoming faces of the bar staff at Hem Heath Cricket Club, who work so hard to quench our thirsts, the usual crowd who gather in the back changing room as we debate over a jug of beer previous matches and what the days team news will bring. People who over the seasons have become friends in Block 30, in Rows 29, 30 & 31 around seat 600, especially the Bicester family who have endured some bleak drives home after some dire performances over recent season. Friends we meet at half time for a quick analysis of the game, hope for the final 45 and an update of personal lives. Drivers who I do not know who 'peep their horns' as I cycle up Black Bank on my way home. Also Cockney Ted who occasionally slows down, and gives some quick comments on the game (as I usually puffing and panting gasp a reply). Hopefully no one will be missing when when it all restarts.....KEEP SAFE and dream the dream, and be behind the team with renewed vigour.

Prawn salad rolls? Sounds dangerously like the choice of the popular image of the Corporate Man U fan. You might want to change the routine.
