Does anyone know or can point me in the direction of where to obtain numbers for average daily deaths?
Interested to know if Covid 19 is inflating daily deaths by a large amount, or are the majority of deaths classed as being caused by Covid 19 just normal deaths that would ordinarily have happened, however the patient happens to have the virus?
As an example if I had cancer and got hit by a bus, I didn't die of cancer even though I had it.

In the U.K. COVID-19 is a reportable disease. This means that anybody dying and testing positive for the disease, even if they do not die from it, are included in the number of deaths being currently reported. Read earlier in the week that ONS are trying to separate the statistics that will show how many are actually dying from the disease as opposed to those dying whilst carrying the virus. Similar research in Italy suggests that 10% of deaths of people testing positive post mortem actually died from the disease. In U.K. around 600k people die every year which equates to an average 1650 daily deaths. Yesterday saw 683 deaths from people testing positive but would they have died anyway? Statistics can be manipulated to tell us anything really.

Figures of non covid are gonna be a bit corrupted, as there will be far fewer road deaths compared to last year. And maybe more suicides.
