We have just stood in our back garden 3 miles south of Nantwich and watched a train (30ish) of very fast moving and very high bright lights travelling in a North Easterly direction.
Did anybody else see them or does anybody have any idea what they are?
Cheers

Some of the neighbours saw them too. They were spread over a good portion of the sky, randomly moving separate from each other but travelling in the same direction.

I live in Salford and two nights ago I saw a bright light zip across the sky. It kept going from left to right, up and down for about a minute and then it just disappeared.

Possibly the Starlink satellites from Elon Musk's incredible adventure into ruining astronomy.

Cheers Probably this: Meteor ActivityI did a quick look with Stellarium using your location description looking NE and you'd be looking in the Lyra constellation area which matches the info in the link above. Or it could be Martians out joy riding.

Didn't look anything like Starlink (all in a single line, equal distance apart) but rather, they were all spread out, appearing to be travelling independent of each other, albeit in the same direction.

I'd love to think it was aliens but we are (literally) light years away from the possibility of other life visiting Earth. If only we weren't.

It is believed the lights were the Starlink satellite constellation backed by US tech entrepreneur Elon Musk.
Constructed by his company SpaceX, the project is aimed at enhancing internet satellite access.
The satellites form a line of bright dots and can occasionally be seen in the right conditions.
The occurence mentioned here was also observed in Somerset, as well as other areas probably. With Moon behind you the phenomenon should be visible around the region of Orion's belt.

I witnessed the Starlink Satellite Train, in January, in Church Lawton. They were heading in a SE direction and were visible for the best part of 10 minutes (there must have been over one hundred of them). There was nobody about, apart from me, and I wasn’t aware of Starlink, so it was a bit freaky for a short time, until Google helped out. I believe they’re sending thousands up there, ultimately.

Who the hell was it that gave him permission to do this? Although I suppose the real question should be ‘Who the hell is there to stop him doing this?”. Admittedly some of my anger comes from my dislike of Elon Musk but, even so, surely we have to develop some sort of authority to stop every Tom, Dick and Billionaire Dick filling up our sky with with assorted space junk.

Pretty much my thoughts and questions when I found out. As you say, who can stop him?
