I did.
And it sounded bloody awesome.
People cheering and whistling.
And I gotta say for the first time in all of this crisis I actually got a bit emotional and had to wipe away a few tears.

I did. I live in a small Close and I could have predicted who did and who didn't. I have much to thank the N.H.S. for

Quite a few near us. As luck would have it a couple of carers turned up and parked outside our house (there's pensioners bungalows nearby) just as we'd finished applauding so the neighbours and us were able to applaud and thank them personally, they were very appreciative

Took the bins out at 8pm and everyone gave me a round of applause. They must be getting bored.

.... I assume this is in support of the NHS workers? Can’t really see the same happening here in Oz (even with me being on the front line)

My daughter's stuck at home cooking and baking for England and a couple of days ago we were running out of eggs. A friend dropped 30 off outside the gate yesterday on the way back from a farm visit

I heard from a friend yesterday that Christmas lights had been turned on in Brown Edge. On Monday this week I exchanged a smile and a wave with a couple of young women wearing Christmas jumpers in Kidsgrove and I noticed the village green at Astbury last week is festooned with Union Flags.... all these things where someone has made an effort to provide a little cheer

We were all out of ours doors giving it some welly just as bloke across the road arrived home on his motorbike from shift at Devonport Dockyard. He calmly stepped off his motorbike, took off his helmet and bowed to the crowd. Really funny moment.

I must admit, it was great to come back in and see it was being televised on the BBC from all across the country.
My fear was that we'd all do it and none of you who deserved it would get to hear it/find out about it.
1000% thoroughly deserved and i agree with another poster (can't remember who, apologies to whoever you were) who said it's a great idea but the best idea to support you guys at the moment, is for all of us to just bloody well stay at home!
My sincere thanks go out to everyone out there on the "front lines". I just hope that after all of this is over, the govt. remember who the people are in this country that we (the people, not the politicians or moneymakers) actually do rely on. Not the bankers, lawyers or hedge fund managers but those that keep us alive and are risking their own lives in order to do so.

20 per cent of doctors say the racist abuse they suffered came from patients. So 80% comes from fellow staff members? That seems incredibly high in a profession that is seriously multi cultural

Is there a single section of society that isn’t “riddled with racism”?
