I have requested clarification, however I am reading the statement as mamasgloves has. You can still buy online but as the ticket office is closed you can’t purchase via the Bet365 stadium currently. The deadline remains unchanged. The council have asked that this deadline is reviewed and extended and as soon as we get a response, it will be shared. Stay healthy everyone! Thanks Ange. Stay safe yourself.

The 6th April date is no longer of any relevance though is it. Most people will read that and conclude they'll wait for more certainty that may be around when the new deadline is announced. Will they? Some idiots are so loyal they'll rush out and get them on day 1. Some will buy just before or on 6th April because they know they will go whenever the season starts. Why are they idiots DJ? Fans have every right to spend their money as they wish, and calling loyal fans 'idiots' is just plain wrong. All of us have different financial circumstances and maybe those loyal fans can afford to take risks and just get it out of the way so as to concentrate on other things. Also, maybe them buying their EB ST's before April 6th will give them some sort of mental boost in times of great uncertainty just as some people will be looking to book a holiday for next year in the hope that it's all over by then. OS.

So don't hold your breath

OS. True. Apologies and I didn't mean it literally. In my younger days I'd be one such idiot and would buy it as soon as it went on sale. These days, I'm of the view that it is better to keep the money in my account for as long as is possible rather than theirs. I would have completed my purchase on 5th April. I won't be renewing by the first deadline for the first time since 1989.

Buying season tickets within the first hour of them going on sale every year for 10 years was not just strange, it was batshit mental!

Alot of people just won't renew they will fill their time with something else, fans looking for a excuse not to renew they will use this opportunity this will happen at every club it will take years to get some fans back, this is my opinion,it would be interesting to start a thread to see how many are missing going to the match but i suppose people on fans sites are the hardened supporters

The £700 quid I might have spent on season tickets already is far more useful to me right now and will help soften the blow of my wife losing all her income and me a 1/3 of mine (for now). I keep my money in my bank, for when we (as a family) might need it for as long as possible and don't pay for anything until I have to nowadays.

IMHO I feel it’s important that the season is somehow finished for reasons of integrity of the system .. ( even if that requires games being played behind closed doors ) .. integrity is a very important factor in encouraging supporters and people back to the attended game , whenever that might be
There’s two chains of thought , bumper gates ( if your club survives ) akin to gates after WWII and the flip side a mass loss of supporters
Early Renewal of a ST ( if you’re able ) lessens the chance of supporters being lost to the game , a new season ( with fans present ) maybe not be possible until a vaccine is produced ,
Obviously that’s for the games / clubs administrators to deal with ( no different to any other business ..how all businesses behave to their customers and the wider community will impact how they’re perceived when this is all over and if people support that business ..for some business that maybe 18-24 months away )

I hope I don't sound rude but it helps if you read the club statement.

I don't think it's anything to do with the club once you've signed a credit agreement with a third party. The club aren't clear or out of touch.
