What will it be? Go for a run, walk the dog, a solo bike ride, a great big wank...
Shit I've had enough of this already, give me my life back!

I like walking but not so fond of running, do I have to pretend to run, borrow a dog or can I just walk?

Thankfully I've got a sizeable chunk of Cardigan bay a few yards from my front door, when the tide's out there's acres to walk on. Unless of course it's pissing down then the novelty wears off.

Walking for an hour Monday to Friday.
We are on a curfew and lock down now so it’s going to be like a prison exercise heard.

Cheers MP on Radio Stoke is saying dog walkers can only walk their dogs once a day and if more than that is needed people have to call Vast who'll walk it for them. I wouldn't have thought being out in the open air on your own (dog or otherwise) would be that dangerous.

Got a ring to it I'm off up Ford Hayes Lane then down to Hulme, lovely walk, takes me about an hour. When I was young and in training I used to run it in about 20 minutes lol.

Some things never change. Its ok if you've got money. Even in the 16th century if you could afford it you had a big house and you had a Long Gallery on an upper floor, often running the length of the building. Then if you were self isolating you could spend the morning pacing up and down the gallery. I tried it with my lounge but it only takes about 10 seconds from one end to the other.

If you walk at average speed (and if I haven't mucked up the maths) your lounge is about 15 yards long, clear away the furniture and you could do some grid sprints

Yeh! Big lounge, as effectively two rooms worth in one. Ok for pacing up and down, but when you get to the end the view is always the same!

Anyone else getting a bit p***** off with sports stars and celebrities telling us how easy it is to keep fit at home whilst working out in their massive, fully equipped home gyms or running around their estates? I am not sure the people in the flat below would be too impressed if I ran a marathon on the spot or did a bit of weightlifting in front of the telly.

Weights borrowed from gym. Little circuit in Garden. A long walk Wildlife watching on the days I don't do the Circuit.
I get the lockdown and that footballers are being sensible and are a powerful voice. I just think when Gary Linker says stay at home. I think well yeah coz you've your Gym to work out in. Massive Garden to sit in. Probably mid afternoon go to your cinema room to watch a film. Visit 3 other rooms during the day.
Following the rules I am just to clarify

For the last 6 days it's been an 8 mile run with the exception of Monday which ended up at 10 miles. One more 8 mile run at the height of the sunshine this afternoon and then next week is a series of flat out 5Ks. I'm not eating or drinking anything different than usual apart from the fact that with my daughter being at home and bored there is now a conveyor belt of delicious daily cakes. I've lost one pound in the last week

I’m in the most vulnerable category and under stoppage of leave for 12 weeks 😩 ............30 perimeters of the back garden is 1.2 miles. So twice daily at present hoping to increase as nights get lighter.

After Tue I am laid off, so will be doing loads of walking each day. If for no other reason than to fight the boredom.
Have signed up for some voluntary work, so depending on what I get that will help

Walking with wife and kids every lunchtime. Lucky we have a lake near us . I'm working from home most days and busier than have ever been so is a nice break to get some air with the kids. Both of us are key workers so laid off isnt (fortunately) a possibility and my heart goes out to those of you that are in that boat . Staying healthy and exercising are critical, would be easy to resort to the biscuit tin and alcohol every day and resisting that as much as I can.
