Hmmm, 🤔 only in stature..... I think football wise, Arnautovic and Nzonzi were bigger!!! No doubt but he was a household name in European football, the like you’d only dream of signing on a computer game. Oh yeah, for sure!!! 👍🏼

There is surely no chance in the current environment. When football restarts the finances of top clubs will look very different to what they were before Covid 19. Player values will fall and some clubs will be stuck with a set of overpaid assets that are worth a lot less than they were. I would imagine it wont be long before FFP is suspended, football will be desperate for rich owners to inject whatever they can into the game Pfffttt.....Covid 19??? This was happening at Stoke long before Covid 19!!!

That is 28 million Lire - which equates to £28 - which is £27.50 too much

He’s a quality player, can create something from nothing. In today’s market, with the over inflated prices I’d probably say 28 million is fair enough really. I think he’d suit Everton or maybe Southampton maybe even Leicester. Still think though he’d be suited to football in Italy or Spain.

Was a fantastic coup we got him, didn't quite live up to it for me but will be looked back in years for some of those fantastic games we had which are on par with anything previously.

This isn't a post castigating our club for selling him for under £14 million - I accept that he had a relegation clause in his contract and I accept that we probably would not had been able to sign him had we not given him that clause. I'm wondering if £28 million is realistic though. He's only featured in 3 starts this season partly down to injuries. I'm sure a fully fit Shaq with 2 full seasons at Liverpool would be worth £28 million but given his low number of starts and his injury problems I'm not sure that they will get that for him. Thoughts? Mate, All the stages of grief I’ve been through, I’d sort of put this behind me. Now your just dragging it all up again. I’m now having flashbacks of going 1-0 up against Palace, only for my hopes to be dashed. ThanX

As an unfathomable predominantly left footed forward sensation, do you think we could offer Liverpool our enigmatic wingman Tom Ince in a swap deal. Say Shaqiri and 5 million for Ince. And we could offer Shaqiri Ince's guaranteed place in the team.

Worth every penny and wish we still had him! He is a great player. When he wants to be. I can’t help feeling his attitude was a part of where things went wrong for us. There were obviously lots of other reasons. And he did produce some great performances. But when you see what the likes of Crouch have suggested about his attitude it makes me wonder. When I think of Shaqiri I don’t get that warm feeling I get when I think of Ric, Faye, Ryan, Huth etc.

I bet the Liverpool CEO didn’t insert a £12 million relegation release clause into the contract.

I bet the Liverpool CEO didn’t insert a £12 million relegation release clause into the contract. Why would he? When was the last time Liverpool spent time outside of top flight football? They did, however, put a Premier League and Champions League winning clause so that they could demand 28m for him. We had the same clause and had we achieved it, he wouldn't have been sold until someone coughed up 100m.

That's quite cheap, when you consider the fact that Imbula was apparently worth 18mill!

I bet the Liverpool CEO didn’t insert a £12 million relegation release clause into the contract. Jeez mate ......after all this time and the fact it’s been pointed out on multiple occasions we still have people who don’t grasp it We’ll have posts saying we should of offered Nzonzi more money any time now

I'm still angry that we didn't induce NZonzi to stay and offered him more money and ambition!

How would they make huge money from Bournemouth if they were to do that with players? Is ok putting a price on his head, another thing someone paying it
