Warhurst. Sure I remember him scoring for us, maybe against someone like Rotherham? Looked like someone from a Jam tribute act had turned for a kick about, mind you.

Equal legend status for me. I was excited about the signings of all three as they appeared in my Premier League '97 sticker album.

When did Frank "Elvis" Worthington play for us? I remember in 1977 there was a very strong rumour going round that we had signed FW. Imagine my surprise when I turned up at Burnden Park to see us play Bolton and that he was on the team sheet for the opposition!

He played for us before that? He's definitely in there! I've got loads of spares I drew on back then, and Nigel Worthington is one. 96/97 season for Leeds. Maybe it's 95/96.

Worthington joined us in the summer of 96 as a replacement (and not a good one) for Sandford. So your album would be 95/96

Worthington's "I can't be arsed" defending for this goal always made me laugh. One hand on hip, the other propping himself up against the post

He actually bossed the game which said a lot about what was on show at the time . Andy Cooke scored the other. He was a really good player but totally out of shape when he came on loan

Watching the Sheffield Wednesday game made me think that if ever one player existed to predicate the cliché that 'the first few yards are in the head' it was Chris Waddle.
When he played most of his career as a winger/wide player and yet was devoid of pace, the guy possessed prodigious ability and vision to compensate.

Worthington's bullet header in that Huddersfield game remains the greatest own goal I've ever seen live.

If you never had any pace in the first place you can’t lose it later in your career. Bonus.
