I watched one documentary in which he expressed the belief that all the cocaine he'd done during his career had prevented him from realizing his full potential as a player!

Yeah, but did he track back? 😉 He did! Apparently,Maradona hero-worshipped Rivelino and modelled a lot of his own game on the great Brazilian's: "when your left foot was as good as this guy's,it didn't matter that you couldn't use your right.."

Good documentary. You've also got to consider he was playing during a time where players were allowed to kick lumps out of you.

One of life’s great contradictions. Bare minimum is players should be able use both feet. The greatest ever could only stand on his right.

Watched it at the cinema, thought it was pretty average. Didn’t really learn anything new.

I won’t watch out of principle. A cheat and a drugs cheat. I get his talent, but he is a poor example of a sportsman. If people want to overlook that then that’s fine by me, but I can’t be doing with dishonesty to that level.

That is a pretty intense principle.

Good documentary. You've also got to consider he was playing during a time where players were allowed to kick lumps out of you. He also tried so hard to stay on his feet as well. Was simply an incredible player and the best dribbler of a football ever
