Benji think there will be only one Chief executive in the world on ski trip of any sort marathon charity etc while the world implodes ,and any business is faced with unprecedented challenges. wonder if it was unpaid leave . I think that rather mean spirited post tells me rather more about you than it does about TS Malcolm I’m more than happy to be mean spirited as far as he’s concerned , he’s will join captain smith in history as the two local captains who destroyed their wonderful guardianships but at least one did the honourable thing .

Smith stayed at his post to the bitter end - and you want Scholes to do the same thing?

That analogy is not only absurdly inapposite but is also in very bad taste Malcolm that’s over sensitive you well know I meant did the Honourable thing professionally and I stand by my long held view the chief executive should have gone down with the ship two years ago regardless of charitable activities done since

There are stories that smith actually shot himself at the wheel , but at the risk of offending Malcom again I’m merely suggesting the Chief executive should Have resigned

Maybe this is really cynical, but if someone offered me an arctic trek for free I'd do it in a heartbeat. I always find it odd when they do this amazing thing like climbing kilamanjaro or doing an arctic trek like they're doing something really horrible no one would want to. Like cleaning the bogs at The Pig Pen.
