Haven’t JCB always been based in Rocester or there abouts... Not according to ITV news its Rochester which I thought was in NY, USA. I grew up in Rocester, pronounced roaster Jcb started life in an old cheese factory building farm trailers . If joe bamford managed to sell the trailer his workforce got paid it was hand to mouth . My dad worked there pretty much but not quite from the start . He spent his whole working life there 5th longest serving employee when he retired

Haven’t JCB always been based in Rocester or there abouts... Ah well you see - Old Joe C Bamford decided to adapt a tractor and stick a bucket on the end of an "arm". In a field in Rocester. In Uttoxeter, another Bamford (brother maybe?) did a similar thing. Is "Bamfords" still going? It must be.
My Dad was one of the first JCB employees and also ended up working at Bamfords in Uttoxeter in the 70s/early 80s before he popped his clogs at 63!
