1992/93 season we had some massive away followings and great days out.It was the 3rd time i had done a complete home and away season so luckily saw every moment of them.Blackpool and WBA were both massive away followings, the mental at Brighton from Stigger in the last minute was a great moment. But the Steino mental at Vale Park was epic, was shattered after it.Great night, great season on the road watching Stoke.

We took big followings everywhere in 92/93, most notably the 9,000 to West Brom. Our away followings took an age to recover post ID cards.

Some of our most impressive away followings were midweek at Portsmouth, Leyton Orient etc under Lou when we had close to 2,000 there.......

Let's not forget Notts County away in 1979. I think we took around 14,000 out of a 21,000 gate for that one...

West Brom when Steino scored and we went 10 clear for sheer numbers....9000 in that corner away end was immense, all standing up, crazy times to think nowadays that would never happen. The gate that day was 29,341 for a third tier game!
I also second that mental after Steino scored at Vale, full-blooded limbs launching mental that lasted ages!! (and needed a defibrillator after)
Other was Rotherham away that same season, when Steino netted a couple and one was a long ranger.

Man Utd cup replay under Macari? temember it well. As most games above What sticks out about that game was the huge traffic jams on the way up the m6. When we played them we were looking like extra time for a bit until Brian McClair scores. Also remember Utd fans chanting glory hunters to us....... cheeky hypocrites bastards

Burnley away in that 92 season was my favorite. We went up there and destroyed them despite Burnley also going for promotion. Think Graham Shaw bagged 2?
WBA away, Vale, blackpool, Preston, brighton were all wonderful away days

Always remember a gorilla being dragged out the side terrace and carried around the pitch by 4 coppers.

Rember the Burnley match, mate got jumped outside the pub down the road from the ground punch from behind then turned to run ,look on his face when he released 5 of us behind where all stoke fans. Lets just say he didn't run far . And no I dont condone fighting but he started it lol.

Stoke v hudders at old Trafford 1971, dont know the numbers but it seemed like we had 3/4 of the ground. I remember the mancs turning up at the stretford end and the railway bridge after the game but they had no chance.

Best away games I went to last were Leicester (1-0 Bojan) and Derby the year after the Cup final. Think we took 5,000 to each.
