Thanks for that. I'd already seen the Stoke package of highlights but thought I'd have a look at the Hull version. To be fair (and this is only my opinion) but this Hull package was in a different league to the Stoke one. The commentary was better - even though it was an opposition commentator, he was well briefed on our players and wasn't at all biased. And the highlights looked far more professional than the Stoke ones are.
I'd recommend this as a good watch to any Stokie who hasn't seen it. Yet another example of where our club is way behind the standard they should be in terms of media presentation.

There are extended highlights on the Stoke City site. Wreckit Rob sometimes gives the whole game for download.

Full build up from first goal, lots more chances included. How the Stoke ones get edited seriously needs reviewing and improving. I suppose Mr Scholes will consider the current ones as just doing the job though or he didn't know there was an issue.

I'm sure our club used to say that they have no control over the highlights - if so, how come Hull clearly HAVE got FULL CONTROL? Maybe something that the Supporters' Council should raise with the club?

Maybe something that the Supporters' Council should raise with the club? Maybe it is simply the case of the standard of the employee doing the work. As a manager for nearly 40 years and having had 100s of people reporting to me in that time. I have had brilliant employees and some I wondered how they managed to find their way to work. I assume the company producing these "programmes" have numerous employees producing them, of varying abilities.

No harm in us fans suggesting that our club makes every effort to ensure that a higher quality of employee gets a chance to show what they can do. I find it especially weird that bet365 must be one of the best run companies in the UK to have come from nowhere to being a multi £billion company (in a highly technical field of work) in almost no time at all. You would think that a company with that sort of expertise in marketing, advertising, and customer satisfaction, would find the behind the scenes aspect of running a football club a piece of cake. There are good reasons why football clubs get relegated or win titles - sport is competitive and there HAVE to be winners and losers. But there is no reason why £billionaire owners of football clubs should not get stuff like customer relations and media presentation of highlight packages right EVERY TIME!

I agree with all of that Lakey. We should remember that the employees are not the same at both bet 365 and SCFC and that there will be no body working for both organizations. Personally I have never found the ticket office employees ever unsatisfactory. In the cases of IT though and other aspects like catering and security my guess is it is invariably outsourced. This is possibly where the problem arises as there seems to be no due diligence carried out to ensure the service provider is competent. Certainly there was a lack of due diligence in checking out the character of some of the footballers signed! My post above related to the quality of the service provided by the Highlights provider, which may well be the same company for Hull, and it is simply a difference in the performance and ability of the individuals actually putting together the product. I recently had the option of choosing which dentist to see, and when I said which one, the receptionist winked and said you made the right choice. In my experience all companies have employees of differing abilities, even the very good companies.

It is certainly worth the Supporters Council discussing with the club why there is such a disparity between Hull's package and our own to see if there is a way ours can be improved. I've messaged Angela (chair of the supporters council) with a link to this thread.

And we're really expecting Stoke City to provide all us Season Ticket holders with a free streaming service for home games should they have to be played behind closed doors? Without any balls up's? Really.
To be honest I think I'd rather they refunded me the money and I'll sort myself out, or not, as the case may be.

I normaly spend time in Greece early and late season and have attempted to stream by the official site and been completely frustrated. To the extent that I rarely go on to the Web page anymore. On the odd occasions I attempt it I am not allowed in as my e mail is already in use !! It’s by me of course.

As much as I criticise the club for their shoddy IT I don't think we're entirely alone in our incompetence. I was speaking about this last night to mates who are supporters of other clubs, namely, Derby, Forest and Burton and their experience of their own i follow is equally as frustrating And is it really normally £10 a pop?
