This guy has issues. Moved out of Chelsea on loan to Villa and now having his loan cut short for head butting a team mate!! Career down the pan.

Might have had a chance at Chelsea if he wasn't plagued with injury problems, Conte seemed to like him but once Jorginho signed for Sarri the writing was probably on the wall for him there.
Did really well in the 'engine room' role with Kante at Leicester. A good footballer who really has hit a slope.

Which in fairness worked a treat. Found out massively at Chelsea. Kante made him look good at Leicester.

Happy to sit on his £100k a week wages on the back of one good season for Leicester knowing full well his career is only going in one direction.......

Done a Rodwell in some respects. I suppose I would do the same in terms of taking a big contract at a bigger club, but it has backfired massively.

Touch of the Jack Rodwell about him for me, couple of good seasons big money move then steep decline. Edit - seen post above that basically says the same thing.

Perfect example of a bang average player doing well in a good team (leicester). His debut for Villa was one of the worst individual performances by a player I have ever seen in the Prem League, and I dont think he has improved much since. His misdemeanour may have done them a favour...

I can remember a thread when we were in the prem when it was suggested that we chose a completely random, harmless player to abuse and boo all game just because we can and Danny Drinkwater was going to be our first victim...

He crashed his car pissed last year as well. He's probably just a dick. Or he might be going through a rough time? And IF that's the case (which no-one as yet, including the player himself, have even inferred or offered as mitigation for his drink driving, his fight last year or for this incident), it's up to him to acknowledge that and get the support he needs. It isn't up to everyone else to just sit back and let him do what he wants with impunity Even if someone IS going through a bad time, it doesn't excuse him for being a prick by behaving towards others in this way. You can be someone going through a bad time AND also be a prick (in the same way that you can be going through a bad time and still be perfectly nice to others)..it isn't just a choice of one or the other.
If people have "bad times" or issues, then of course they need support etc. but the most important first step is for them to "own" that issue themself and accept that they need to do something about it, not just go around nutting people and shouting "It's ok people, i'm just going through a bad time. Nothing to see here"

He crashed his car pissed last year as well. He's probably just a dick. Also got into a fight in Manchester whilst on loan at Burnley He got filled in by three or four lads apparently, with repeated attempts to stamp on his ankles to cries of “break his legs so he can’t play”. Seems a model pro does our Danny.

There’s two, Diogo Jota plays for Wolves. Villa’s Jota is the Jota who used to play for Brentford.

What a player Kante is. Made Morgan look like a top defender and made Drinkwater look a top midfielder

Danny Drinkwater to Chelsea was one of the strangest transfers I've ever seen.
