Call it superstition but i'm starting it early as i did the Hull match thread, yet again another big game.Hope we go with the mentality that we can win,set up for it and go for it.Going 1-3 to Stoke.

Not sure what to make of Reading, they're not really playing for anything at the moment though which is good for us and on paper they don't scare me a great deal. Quite fancy us to atleast get a draw.

Be interested to hear how folks think we'll fill the Joe Allen boid
Will we stay 451? Or go 433?

Another potential banana skin game, it'll be tight but with the right mentality there's no reason we can't take this one.

Im more confident about this game than the Luton one despite there far loftier position.
It'll be interesting to see if we have to play behind closed doors.
It looks like McClean could be back so I'll go with
Butland Smith Batth Chester Indi Clucas Cousins Oakley-Booth Powell McClean Campbell

Don’t see any reason why we clan not win this. But then every time I get optimistic it kicks me back down to earth. 😳

I guess Cousins is the ideal replacement for Allen don't think he's anywhere near the same bracket of a player. Hopefully McClean back

They have had a good away win. Usually follows to have a below par home game. will expect a point or 3.

It would be absolutely glorious if Reading go down purely because of that cunt of a son Mark Bowen has. He’s probably got a job in the set up there as well.
Batter the cunts, MO’N.

What’s it like down there, going with my daughter, and have never been? Dull is the word I would use. View is fine as you'd expect from a newish ground but the kind of place that makes listening to Coldplay sound exciting. I would say no problem at all taking your daughter as their fans look like clones of the cartoon strip, Dilbert.

Going to this one, got tickets hopefully it is on, was wondering if the coronavirus will effect the numbers much.

I think this is our best starting 11 without Allen. I've also got the impression Shawcross and McClean will be ready so I'll swap Shawcross and Chester. McClean certainly needs to play if he's fit!
.................Butland................. Smith.....Shawcross....Batth.........Indi ..........Thompson....Clucas............. Ince.............Powell...........McClean ................Campbell.................
Subs: Davies, Collins, Chester, Cousins, O.-B., Vokes, Diouf.

Having seen McClean arrive yesterday limping I’d be amazed if he’s fit until after the international break

Yes I want to win at Reading. I live 5 miles from Reading so get plenty of stick from Reading supporters. Hoping we can get at least a point.

So far I seem to be the only one who thinks this will be very difficult. We will sorely miss Allen - I honestly felt that for the first half an hour of the second half, any other team than Hull would have ripped through our midfield - and Reading have slightly better form than us going into this, which is a home game for them.

Think we'll miss Allen massively in a game like this. They are the kind of side who swamp midfield and agree re Hull but we were guilty of taking our foot off the gas. Can see us playing quite a defensive formation and a dull draw. I really like that American player they have, forget his name, big fecker, ex Red Bulls

I agree it will be very difficult next week. We will without doubt miss Joe. I am hoping we secure a point to keep the points total keeps ticking on. If we can sneak a win that will be such a bonus.

Tricky one this, on the one hand you'd think this a very winnable game. But this is a funny old league, so I'm in the mindset of just seeing what happens.

Having a limp won't stop JM playing Tom Ince manages to "play" while essentially using only one foot.
