WIll be a huge loss I don't know why posters are so obsessive about one negative post on here. It's obvious what most supporters think, no need to rise to the bait. I think we will manage though and players have to step up. Agreed mate. But it was a shit post after an awful injury and also a great win. Yes we move on, upwards and onwards.

At least it was in English. A new era. We needed a new era. Not necessarily at Joe’s expense but his captaincy has been shocking. Maybe he’s been the weakest link 😉

Not a big fan of joe Allen but hope he has a speedy recovery. Not matter how good or bad he has been. Maybe we will see if I am wrong or right about him.

The difference in the midfield from the first to the second half was night and day. First half we had a scrapper who won the ball and bossed it. Second we had a boy getting knocked all over the the place. He grew into the game well but at the moment he doesn't have the physical attributes that Joe has.

He’s been wank. Average at best. Sometimes a forced change is the best change. The Welsh Xavi he aint. I normally like your posts zerps but you have had a mare with this one pal.

Maybe our entire demise was on him? Fuck it. You don’t have to agree with me. I’ll happily nail my balls to the mast on this one. I’m a big boy. Proof provided via requested dm on demand.

Awful injury. Done me Achilles meself and it’s a nasty one to recover from and get back to 100%.
Best wishes for a swift recovery Joe.

Not Allen's biggest fan, but I think he has improved under O'Neill. I thought he probably had his best 45 today, completed all passes, won the ball, great first touch and good runs. He even did his captain duties today, during a break in play he went around bollocking players and speaking to others. He has been a poor captain but today he had stepped up.

Would have Powell in centre mid from here on in. Can dictate a game.

Who’s your superior option to play instead that’ll make us better? We’ve seen one today. Who sorry?

I play squash and it's a real squash players injury, I've seen at least a dozen down the years, never known anyone get back properly in less than 12 months, the first half of next season has likely gone for him too. It's a crushing blow, he must be heart broken about missing out on the Euros, I'm gutted for him, one of the good guys I reckon, I mean who wouldn't like a pro footballer who keeps hens?

Could tell he wasn’t playing second half. Lost control of the central midfield and give Hull a chance to keep the ball a bit more. Any of his doubters will soon see what he brings to the table. He’ll be a huge miss. Be a massive loss to us. The one player I really think we'll more than anyone

Fair enough, you have your opinion, but this obsession is fucking embarrassing and genuinely a bit disgusting at this point. Please just stop posting on this thread.

I don’t think we’ve had a ball winner for years mate. Allen is at least good at getting a toe in and nicking the ball back. He’s not what’s required. A midfield enforcer. He’s about 6 stone. When played further forward he got goals. Remember? Now he’s a below average defensive midfielder. Maybe not his fault though. I haven’t called him a twat.

He’s a totally different player to Joe, he’s a number 10, not a centre mid. He looked promising but not in a million years did he look like he could do Allen’s job.

He’s not a midfield enforcer (but he’s way more of one than TOB) but he is energetic and busy and harries and wins the ball back. Between now and the end of the season it’s not clear who else we have who’s capable of that.
