I had surgery for same injury last September all i can tell you after 6 months and undergoing physio for 4 months the way i feel now is i couldn't play any football for the foreseeable future, yes he would get better after treatment care but i hope I'm wrong but cannot see him back fully for 12 months
Zerps is correct. Allen was much better in a forward position. He fed off scraps and scored goals when he first signed. Playing deeper is not his strength. He’s a poor tackler (not as bad as Adam!) and he gets out of position. However, he will be missed on and off the pitch, because he seems a very decent bloke and appeared to take relegation very personally.
When I heard the news about the Euros postponement my first thought was I'm so pleased for Joe that he won't be missing out after all. Hope for a full recovery for one of the better people in our squad.
Achilles injury’s can be vert nasty and take a long time to heal. I am sure he is getting the best of treatment, and wish him luck.
Personally I would prefer him to take his time and not try to rush it. This season could well go on into the Autumn or god forbid even longer. Come back fit and strong next season as I think we could be pushing for it.
