Up here in Scotland the former First Minister Alex Salmond is due to go on trial this coming Monday for a variety of offences which include attempted rape , intended rape , sexual assaults and indecent assaults. If the court found out that I had a private bet on the outcome of the trial would I be in contempt of court ? I suspect that I would be in contempt of court because I could have attempted to influence the outcome of the trial by threatening or paying those who make the verdict on the trial which in Scotland is guilty , not guilty or not proven. If you want to find out about the alleged offences committed by Alex Salmond have a look at www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-51206284

I'm not 100% sure but I think its illegal to bet on trials. No legitimate bookmaker would take such a bet for obvious reasons of jury involvement.

He should appoint Bill Clinton’s lawyers.
“I did not have sex with that woman” worked for him.
