I remember sitting down on the shitty bank can't call it a terrace and being able to watch the game 😊 Almost certain the bank was fenced off and out of bounds for that game Behind the goal Dave? Like I say a long time ago n I was a nipper then so you could well be right

Can absolutely see your point Surrey there that it's not far away and it's a huge game given the circumstances. Having said that though. Come on, our supporters have been loyal, loud and proud as hell no matter what shit has been on the pitch the last three/four years and before that when times were very good and before that when times were far worse than they are now. I can't remember a time when we havnt took thousands to Wigan(barring Gregg strongs winner at their old place sure It was a pretty vacant away end, Brian little season?) Or any other ground on a Saturday and not given our Full backing have we? And many times have continued to sing throughout whether getting drubbed by the opposition or winning. The fans are not the problem and will be there no matter what. Away end was full that day as well so much so that we decided to go when their second went in. By the time we'd fought our way from one side of the terrace to the other, we'd equalised and hence were still there for the Greg strong winner I was there, England were playing at the same time which was odd

Wigan refused to move the game because they didn't want to upset their fans who had pre-booked tickets for the corporate section, I remember an article in the Sentinel where Monica Hartland was torn between watching Stoke and watching England as she was an ever present for both, can't remember which game she chose though?

I chose travelling to Wembley to watch England v Holland on the same night as Stoke v Plymouth that night ....England blew a 2-0 lead I know I know

Latest on Coronavirus is positive re. footy games. From BBC website this morning..
Dr Harries said cancelling big outdoor events like football matches would not necessarily be a decision supported by science. "The virus will not survive very long outside," she said. "Many outdoor events, particularly, are relatively safe."
Any news on the Wigan releasing more tickets?? I knew we were on close to 3k a few days ago.

Travel too and from is the associated risk my view is government will see it as a relatively easy target to be seen to act

That may or not be true but people gather under the stands, they gather in the bars and they all travel together on public transport, trains, coaches, cars etc etc All closed in
