I think the public need to take some responsibility though too. Even though he’s been way too lenient in my opinion and given people way to much wriggle room. At no point has he said go to the beaches and have fun or party hard in large groups. This is the decision the public have made and will continue too. I respect my family, friends and myself too much to start partying and going to the beach. Sadly we live in very selfish privileged society where a large number of people (not the majority) don’t care about anyone but themselves. If I worked for the NHS I’d refuse to treat anyone who blatantly disregards govt advice or the press who appear to want to stoke things up by promoting it. Do we reckon it is only in england where people pack out open spaces, ignoring social distancing or are inhabitants of other nations posting similar pictures of their citizens doing the same? I returned home from golf at 8.10pm last night and whilst my wife had 3 friends round, they were all suitably distanced...probably because I'd set everything up for them 3 friends round🤔

Big party last night at a house just up the road from me. The last ten weeks have been a waste of time. The only difference is that we now have a broken economy. We should have just continued as we were, all we have done is delay things.

I wasn't particularly happy about it so I set the table up for them and went off to play golf so I was out of the way.

I think we are heading in this direction.
So Trump's adviser equivalents of Cummins want a campaign manifesto for November you can fit on a 'wallet card'.
So his will presumably look something like this
1.Lower taxes 2.Build the wall 3.China 4.Hoax (default for criticism)
I think campaigning is as simple as this in the new dumbed down Twitter world.

Anyway I see the ex doctor who reported Cummins has admitted to breaking the lockdown himself
Having made a lengthy trip to Berkshire to pick his daughter up
And the report of a second trip was false as the second man has admitted he made it all up and even falsified his cycling records

Some of the pictures make you want to bang your head on the wall but isn't the problem with that picture that 2 helicopters have landed on the beach and that all the people who were on the beach at the time have been corralled into a very small area, presumably by the police themselves? A flavour of it pre helicopter Thanks. That is a different story to that told by the original photo, though the people in the foreground do at least appear to be trying to "social distance". It does make you wonder if people normally try cliff jumping at that spot or whether it is the current situation that has encouraged a special level of stupidity.

Any decision the government makes now has dire consequences because they dithered and delayed. They dithered and delayed and dithered and delayed. A quick lockdown like other countries, would have been over sooner and a lot less dead. Dither and delay. What do the tories do? Dither and delay. China lied and People died, I see they are now threatening to invade Taiwan and quash all democracy in HK, those good old communist comrades. 4th request crapslinger. What do you think our government should do about China? What do you think our government will actually do about China? Instead of just rehashing the same stuff let’s hear your thoughts on it?

Everyone seems to have given up.
The government have clearly gone “fuck it” to protect Cummings because nothing they’re doing makes sense otherwise.
The people are going “fuck it” because they’ve seen their government give up, flout their own rules and just generally be awful.
All whilst forgetting the numbers for the U.K. are still up there with the worst day to day. And that we actually haven’t suppressed it near enough.
I don’t think I’ve ever hated this country more than I do right now.

No one on that beach looks 2m apart I didn't say that they were 2m apart (I don't have a tape measure and foreshortening on film makes such judgments notoriously difficult - see how hard it is for the 3rd umpire to decide if a catch has carried or not). I can't see how you can argue that the people in front of the person with the camera aren't trying to "social distance".

The best thing about this is where Cummings claims to have posted on his blog about Coronavirus in 2019. This claim was busted very quickly by a simple check on Wayback Machine. The blog had been edited on 20.55 14 April 2020, the day that Cummings drove down from Barnard Castle. So the super plotter was shown to be both untrustworthy and incompetent. It is always good to see our leaders getting involved in IT. Our very own Premier in Name Only, Alexander Johnson, when he was Mayor of London set out to improve his knowledge of IT. He found someone prepared to give him one-to-one instruction. I wonder if the lessons took him as far as learning about things like Wayback Machine? His instructor, Ms Arcuri, probably knew about it but it may have been that Johnson just touched the surface of the subject with Ms Arcuri rather than going deeper into Ms Arcuri’s specialism and making a really penetrating study. As Mr Francis Howard, late of this planet might have said, ‘Titter ye not’. Ms Arcuri is a talented IT instructor and a serial entrepreneur. She is also a pole dancer. So Cummings comes down from the trip to celebrate the birthday of his mother and his also the birthday of his wife. He knows that he has been spotted breaking the lockdown. The slogan that is chanted gets changed to ‘Stay Alert’ rather than ‘Stay at Home’. He also edits his blog to make it appear that he is some sort of visionary. When the story breaks he is forced to give the Rose Garden shambles. He makes the false claim that his blog was written in 2019. Why has he not been dismissed for gross misconduct?

Agree with much of that OS. Love him or hate him Cummings is a fascinating character. Yes he's a man on a mission but driven no less by narcissism than his 'useful idiot' Johnson. The Tories have provided a vehicle for his vanity but Cummings is no Tory - if anything his philosophy is closer to Leninism than Johnson's optimistic liberism - and right now he's damaging their brand. Having him around is a bit like having Mourihno at your club - he'll win you trophies but he'll bugger everything you stood for. Johnson might be in his thrall but I seriously doubt whether Graham Brady is. You can act a wrecking ball for campaigns and elections but it's not suited to stable government. In the next 12 months Cummings will be gone. It's where he ends up next that will be of most concern I would agree about his narcisism, but show me any great philosopher who wasn't narcissistic. Yes, he may disappear from the frontline because he's too radical, but he'll still be formulating things in the background exactly as Steve Bannon has done since he decided Trump was too much a divvi to waste his time on. Like you, I find him a fascinating character. I may not like him and I think his ideas can be challenged, not least because he sees the evolution of humanity as malleable to his way of thinking. But he fails to understand that humanity is fluid and even the best laid plans of great thinkers have eventually floundered in the realities of human beings who are completely unpredictable. For instance, he doesn't bring religion into the equation. I'm not a religionist but anyone who thinks they can bring to fruition a human population that is fundamentally based on eugenics is out of their mind unless they understand the power of religion and take that into account when trying to formulate a surreal world. Add to that the fact that much of humanity is fundamentally racist and you end up with a boiling cauldron of reasons why he, and many others before him, have failed to impose their philosophy onto humanity. Below is a half-decent synopsis on Cummings. It's only half-decent because very few people can really get inside the mind of a psychopath. And that's what he is, but he's not in the same class as Hannibal Lecter. A synopsis on Cummings. As for Cummings' trip to Durham, I read nothing into it other than even 'career psychopaths' are not immune to stupidity. The most stupid thing he did was not to take the trip to Durham, but to be caught out taking his jolly. He has much to learn if he really wants to be clever. OS. I could swear I've seen similar characters elsewhere. Anyroad, if, during your investigations, you find any evidence of him ever having had an art teacher from the North Staffs area that was a bit of a twat to him please give us the heads up
