The only four countries in the world yesterday to have more deaths than the UK were ,Brazil,USA and Mexico. All with far greater populations than us. Just something to ponder.

Well I'll be buggered then as I will not bank on line The banks will not tell you this the but the only 100% way of not being a victim of online fraud is not to be online Same here Waggy. Internet banking is a paradise for criminals. I bet there's nothing on the internet that is 100% safe. Encryption has come a long way in the last 10 years but as you say nothing is 100%. when we talk about the cost of furlow you would weep at the cost of failed IT in government .(of all colours.)

What's your point relating to covid 19? All you have done for the last hundreds of pages is post obscure twitter tweets from obscure sources without any explanation or opinion. You then ask another poster, who has regularly explained his position and opinions "what's your point". The irony is probably lost on you😁. Mate, you wouldn't know irony if it kicked you in the bollocks....

Indeed. It's quite bizarre isn't it? My wife is in the shielding group and I'm in the 'at risk' group but texts like this from the government are just another example of their appalling communications during this crisis.

NHS is the worst (up untill Universal Credit) under Brown it was a nightmare with no minister in power who could work a laptop.......

How many thousands are going to die as a result of coming out of lockdown too early? This isn't a political mis-step, this is planned mass murder on a scale that would make Stalin blush. From a governmental point of view I would imagine X amount of millions of pounds back in the economy is worth X amount of extra deaths perhaps.

I'd love to give you an answer, Paul, but thankfully i'm stuck behind a paywall. I was forced to stop at the laughable line of "Quite the reverse. It was, instead, a dazzling strategic masterstroke."

They are determined to see everything Cummings does as a masterstroke. No matter how hapless. Its contrived snd desperate. It's hard not to see it as a projection of the public school/ Oxbridge system. Fantastically average minds made unshakably confident.

After listening to a combination of lbc/five live all week, people constantly blaming Cummings for the breakdown. The pictures of various beachs etc are heart braking. We have no one to blame but ourselves, Covid will go on to savage this country in a second wave, not because of Cummings but because we as a people are arseholes and care little about anything but ourselves, we can run around and blame who we like but Boris and co didn’t make us have the bouncy castles in our gardens/barbecues/ party’s..group meet ups etc. Packed beach’s ,packed Peak District, packed berry hill/park hall. And they’ve been like that for weeks .

Any idea of the mechanics behind it as I'm struggling get my head around it cheers? Put simply all banking will be done on your phone. no staff in banks no overheads.just regional headquarters in a virtual economy...... The only reason there'd be no staff in banks is if there's no demand for it and I can't see cash disappearing in the next 20 years to be honest. But yeah, expect smaller branches to close in the very near future.

I would never have considered using contactless payment for anything less than £20 but I'm using it all the time now. Apart from the 70p for my Daily Mail, I still pay cash for that
