I suppose more to the point it might be incorrect to call your car German. Branded German, but built in Czechia maybe. Possibly migrant workers. Raw materials definitely not from Germany. But apart from that, yeah nice one mate. Good analogy 👍🏽 Carps in "doesn't understand how globalisation works" shock

This really is proving to be an arrogant and tawdry administration unfortunately.
Long live the BBC, only thing between us and a diet of private sector news where everyone just signs up to the vendor who tells them what they want to hear.
You don't know what you got til it's gone.

I think we should stick to the Chinese after all this is the country that shared bird flu and Sars with the rest of the world. It may be about time that they put their intelligence and efforts into stopping the next strain by sorting their livestock markets out. The first known case of H5N1 bird flu in birds was Scotland, 1959. In humans as far as I'm aware it was May 1997, in Hong Kong. A small child who sadly died of it. Given that Hong Kong wasn't handed back to China until July of 1997, I take it you and carps would be okay with bird flu being referred to as "100% British bird flu" from now on? Or alternatively we could all just agree that it's incredibly infantile and idiotic to pretend that viruses know what a fucking border is Pointless italics in full flow

It has a certain 'non so cosa' about it.

Not quite sure Steve Bruce quite understands how this whole Coronavirus thing works yet. I'm not sure anyone does yet to be fair Chig. I've been trying to follow the whole thing now for a few days and at times I can't make heads or tails of it at the best mate.
It's certainly a very interesting situation that's happening right now.
BBC One is usually left on at night so when I wake up in the morning I can just flick the TV on and have a quick watch of the news before heading to work, and I think pretty much every time I've woke up the past few days, there has been a new reported case in a new location, quarantining etc...
I think the situation for many is starting to be taken more seriously now, and that's a good thing.
I usually watch the GDC conference as a gamer, it's in San Fran and I noticed lots of developers have pulled out of the meeting due to concerns over the virus, they reckon the whole thing itself will get called off completely. Understandable, because tons of people in a small crowded space like GDC is like trouble waiting to happen.

Is there any chance we can leave politics and religion etc at the door on this thread? I am pretty sure COVID-19 doesn't give a shit about your political ideals, the god you worship or who you choose sleep with etc.

I always feel more secure when I see Matt Hancock in charge of something. Are you not going to follow his advice because he's a Conservative? I know I have borderline communist tenancies compared to you Roger, but apart from a spell voting for the Natural Law Party because yogic flying is as good an answer to the worlds problems as anything, I've only ever voted Conservative and UKIP. Personally, I think it's OK to vote Conservative and still think that some Conservative ministers are self serving vacuous pricks.

I could really get behind this. Can we call off the Championship season effective immediately, with all positions and points counted as final for the 19/20 season?

My boss has told me to standby and cover a weekends work in Thurrock the weekend of the Hull match, as a colleague returning rom Northern Italy may have to self quarantine. he gets the jolly, I may get the shitty end of the stick, the work in Italy is based around the work in Thurrock Confirmed Cunty bollocks has to self quarantine for 14 days, so I have to work the weekend and spend 3 nights in Thurrock, and after getting the offer of 2 tickets for £5 each from Stoke as being a Potters Foundation member Luckily an underground HV cable blew near our site in Stevenage early this morning, and scuppered the work tomorrow so I've driven home this afternoon, luckily I couldn't get a ticket for the Luton game after it tomorrow.
