There's absolutely zero evidence that 'people not following the rules' has caused the lengthening of lockdowns though. I've challenged you on this before but you keep repeating it as if it's an immutable fact when it simply isn't true. I still remember when I was a selfish prick for going for a drive, on my own, in a locked metal box. To be fair though I see why I mean the SARSCov2 readings from my exhaust on the emissions test were shocking. Disgusting. You fully deserve to be snitched on by your neighbour and arrested by the Covid Gestapo. Then quarantined for 6 weeks before being allowed into your socially distanced cell - masks must be worn at all times 😉

Apart from the first bit i agree, "Bonkers Boris" and his minions have a lot to answer for and are contemptible. but the people who spread the disease around by not following the basic rules ( rules adopted in all the country who have suffered less deaths and lock-downs than the U.K.)have NOT helped themselves or their fellow citizens. There's absolutely zero evidence that 'people not following the rules' has caused the lengthening of lockdowns though. I've challenged you on this before but you keep repeating it as if it's an immutable fact when it simply isn't true. Skemstokie is one of them that look paranoid of covid as they're walking down the street types that you can spot a mile off. He's convinced himself that it's the end of the world, although I'm not surprised because judging by his posts I bet he has barely left the house during this situation and instead overdosed on the BBC and suchlike, which in itself is enough to keep anyone locked away. All reasoning and rationale has gone out of the window. God help him when things are back to normal he'll still be to frightened to go anywhere, the anxiety must be overwhelming

So how is it acceptable to ruin people's lives for the tiny minority of a minority of people? You're just totally ignoring the consequences of covid measures How many people's lives have actually been ruined then ? most people continued to work, most that couldn't have been furloughed or on the self employed scheme, I see furloughed people out exercising etc. all the time whilst I'm WFH The gyms have reopened, we'll all be back inside pubs and restaurants next week, UK holidays are back on next week, clubs etc. open in June and all restrictions in the UK lifted, there may have been a few months inconvenience but how many have really had lives ruined ? What is the % of that against the % of deaths ? It's a good question, in this country I'd hazard a guess it's a higher percentage of people than have died of covid. 14 months is more than a few months of inconvenience. Depression and suicide is allready the biggest killer of men under 40, that's without draconian measures and locking them away from friends and family. Junk food and fags are huge killers, as is booze, I'll guarantee you the intake of those has gone up massively, as has depression & anxiety. The news won't tell you a story that doesn't fit the narrative that covid19 is beyond all doubt thd biggest thing to threaten the human race since the black death. That's what the size of the measures, coverage and fear mongering make it out to be, yet as most know, it's not half as lethal to an overwhelming majority of people than they would like you to believe. You can say people have a choice to drink, eat junk and smoke thousands of fags, my reply is that's what depression can do to a person, it's done for comfort, it fills a gap. The ironic thing is, those that are locking themselves away are also going to suffer depression and mental illness through isolation and worry, they will make themselves ill before covid will do

What about the older person who lost their company (or job) due to shutdown, can't get another job due to age, and now have to rely on family and friends to survive for the rest of their lives; or the family that ended in divorce because of the lockdown and now have to deal with that fall-out? These are not mere inconveniences.

Well the NHS app will be a covid "passport" so I've given it a go to see how and if it works. So much easier at airports if proof of vaccination is required. Took a few mins to set up and it might take a week to verify I am who I am and link me to my records then I'll see if it works.

Alan Jones being Alan Jones 😆 It would be great to see a guy/gal like this on MSM in the UK. Not saying he’s right or wrong but why isn’t there more debate and challenge on the different viewpoints? It’s actually counterproductive not allowing it in my opinion. If people disagree with him (his positions) then do it in a transparent rational way.

Surely with all the technology incorporated in modern passports it’s a simple exercise to update them to day you’ve had your jabs ??
I renewed my driving license last week and amazingly I used my passport photo, quite gutted I can no longer use my old paper driving license 😢😢

I read today that crowds will be allowed at the European Championships in football in June-July. That must be nice for the players to have.
Here in Sweden we will have our relative mild restrictions until August though. 44 new death cases today and more than 13000 new Covid-19 cases in just one day, which is a lot for a small country like ours.
Approx 3.5 million vaccinated and more than 30% of all adults now.
Pfizer has got a green light concerning children vaccinations. From what age I'm not sure, 16? If so, you can say youth, not children.

I might get the vaccine tomorrow. Writing the Health declaration they want atm, in time before and during the commercial breaks of the Wallander episode The Thief. 😷 AZ ?? I'm not sure what it will be, since they haven't answered that particular question of mine of the four questions I wrote to them. They have clear instructions not to answer the phone in general and not to let any patient in who aren't there for the vaccination or an absolute acute injury or disease, during the pandemic. So the only type of communication is written messages. But the current recommendation from FHM (The People Health Agency) is to not give the AZ vaccine to anyone under 65. And at our website for the counterpart to your NHS, called Närhälsan [Health Near You], where most people are listed, they write the AZ vaccine is for people 65+, and if you're under 65 and already have had the first dose you can choose to have the AZ vaccine as the next dose as well or some other vaccine offered when it's time for the second dose. My best mate said he's given Moderna next week and my uncle got Moderna as well. This btw makes it two people I know who have been or will be vaccinated. The Authority who handles side effects said this evening that most side effects have come from people who have been given the AZ vaccine. So far around 30.000 side effect reports if you count all different vaccines. My Health Clinic I'll visit tomorrow is kind of semi-private. It means it's the same fees/costs as within Närhälsan [similar to your NHS], but with a larger network of specialists they can in turn send me to if the need occurs.

Masks are obviously becoming more of a fashion accessory among the young than something that is supposed to keep them safe. Sad times.

At the moment, masks are required inside venues like shops and if going inside to the toilet in a bar, restaurant, picking up your takeaway etc.
