I posted this story the other day, but here's a video featuring the recovered lady's son. I assume the video is hosted on Vimeo because it can't get past YouTube's censorship. By the way, Chris Whitty is an expert on Ivermectin. They don’t see very keen to run with this guys story despite being labelled a loon, his research has recently had positive peer review and now a judge seems to think so too. Heads should roll if it transpires that ivermectin has beneficial properties in containing C19

Id take it. Just about. But when he says "by Easter" he needs to mean March and not April! He’ll probably announce 1st April...🤣 And then do a U turn at 1159, saying it's an April Fool?

By the way, Chris Whitty is an expert on Ivermectin. This is a brilliant and heart warming piece of news. When I first posted Professor Kory's testimony on here before Christmas, I was told that he was a dangerous crank and that people who followed him were nut jobs. Well it appears that this family also watched that very same testimony and and as a result, coupled with their unwavering determination, it has resulted in their loved one remaining alive, as much as the hospital tried to resist administering the treatment. Actually scandalous that the hospital went out of their way to refuse the administration of the drug. Disgrace

By the way, Chris Whitty is an expert on Ivermectin. Sounds like there are still no randomised, controlled, double-blinded clinical trials on Ivermectin, unless I missed something? The FDA and groups like them require that evidence to recommend a drug. Would you skip that? EDIT: Found a randomised trial. Only 24 patients and quite young. Looks like no significant differences in anything they had pre-planned to measure so it failed the primary test. But when they went looking for differences it seems people didn't end up coughing for as long. So there's a bit of promise there but hard to tell.

I'm a little nervous after the hydroxychloroquine debacle. It was approved for autoimmune diseases but was known to fuck with the heart a bit. After large trials we can now be confident that pushing it most likely killed thousands of people needlessly. Glad I don't have to make these calls and I really hadn't thought much about these issues before the whole covid shitstorm so I'm not sure what to think.

The patient or family should be allowed consent. To counter your original point the uk vaccine (second jab) is not being administered as per manufacturers recommendation I’d suggest that this is a lot more concerning that giving a critically ill patient a drug that has heretofore minimal side effects

Can anyone copy and paste this as I don't have a telegraph subscription, cheers Britain faces a three-month lockdown "halfway house" after Easter, with a full reopening delayed until all over-50s have had their second dose of the vaccine, The Telegraph understands. Ministers are considering proposals to begin reopening swathes of the economy in April under similar restrictions to those in place over the summer, with “rule of six” and social distancing measures in force in pubs and restaurants. A return to full normality will be delayed for at least 12 to 14 weeks to allow for all over-50s to have their second dose of the vaccine, according to a source familiar with the discussions. Ministers are keen to reopen hospitality venues in some capacity before the G7 summit in the second week of June, when the UK will host world leaders in Carbis Bay, Cornwall. National measures will be eased in advance of the summit, allowing pubs, restaurants and tourism to begin to trade again. Officials are understood to be planning the reopening of schools first, followed by an increase in personal freedoms, allowing meetings of friends and family outdoors, before hospitality opens with social distancing measures in place. The plans could see a full reopening of the economy under “normal” rules by the first week of July, after the over-50s have had a second dose of the vaccine.

I know they want to use the surrounding towns like St Ives too but fook me it’s a terrorists wet dream. They will have to shut down the whole area for it to happen safely. Ironically had the worst flu I ever had when I was in Carbis Bay.

Lots of people advocating taking Vit D as a preventative (severity reduction) measure. Some suggestion that Finland has benefited from the addition of vit D to the drinking water (done since 2005 I think) I’m taking a supplement and getting out in the small bit of sun to exercise whenever I can. Don’t see any downside. Surely some of the vast government C 19 funds could be diverted to ensure as many as possible aren’t vit D deficient. I’ll vouch for vitamin d. I used to get colds frequently. Since taking 2 x ui4000 tablets a day I haven’t had a cold for over a year.

Probably only leaked because the Government has noticed the public’s annoyance of the never ending shit we are enduring. Strange how things will be back to some sort of normality by June when we host the G7 isn’t it. Boris and his boys don’t want other world leaders to see what a total balls up they have made of it all. What’s the betting that as soon as the G7 lot leave the country we are back under restrictions. You just know it will happen. So...if you need a break try in June and you may get lucky...any later no chance. My trip to Turkey in July (moved from July 2020) is looking doomed.

I heard a politician this week say people with darker skin more easily get a Vitamine D deficit when they move to Scandinavia, and that's why they are more likely to get covid-19. I don't know about England, but up here the immigrants from far away are far more represented in the covid-19 stats. That was reported in April, Musik. The Somalian community was quite badly hit in Sweden. Yes. They have talked about this again and again over here. Lack of corona info to these people in their own language is said to have been the main reason. I remember a tv report in the initial stages of the pandemic where people in the suburbans where interviewed. So many there hadn't even heard of the Corona virus then. They did get their Somalia tv news with help from the satellite dish attached on the balcony.

An interesting theory, one we'll probably not know the full data for quite a while yet. Doesn't it run counter to how you achieve herd immunity with a low level of infection though? I thought the theory was that you only needed 20% infection levels because coronaviruses had been around a long time and therefore most of the population had some innate resistance. Logically therefore to blow it out of the water you would be looking at a complete new virus not just a modification of an existing one. As herd immunity is more widely recognised at 70% infected then more likely they could never achieve herd immunity with such a low level of infection in the first place. Or is that not how it works (genuine question)? I've no idea really, there's that many different theories going about it's hard to go through and understand them all, then just as you think you do others come along.

Think I said last week I had a feeling the over 50s would be the next reason to keep us locked down for longer. But if they start to lift restrictions then it makes it a bit more barrable. Easter is way too late for schools though I find it typical of the government that they are using the G7 as a target for lifting restrictions. But it does make sense, imagine them getting the world leaders round at their nice hotel wining and dining them if we can't even go down the pub? There would be a huge and completely warranted public outcry.
