If promotion is the aim next season he’s not the answer. Couldn’t disagree more mate, he’s the kind of player you build a team around. More attacking intent and guile than any other player in the squad.

If promotion is the aim next season he’s not the answer. Yes, let’s get some more combative plodders in midfield like we had before New Year. Worked so well. We’re second in the table since he became a starter, which coincides with his regular run of starts, so it certainly looks like the answer.

More attacking intent and guile than any other player in the squad. What? he’s head and shoulders above everyone else in the team if he can stay healthy. He scored 2x and had the shit kicked out if him again because every team knows he our best player, by far. give your head a wobble.

Your opinion is your opinion. If your deluded then carry on chief I just think to say he’s lazy is completely unfounded. There’s an age old thing with Stoke fans who hate flare players. It’s reminiscent of the attitude of the entire city. Anything new or different or quirky and people turn their nose up at it. If he had a no. 1 haircut he'd be adored.

He is comfortably our best player and one we need to build the team around. Next season we need to be pushing for the play offs and Nick Powell will be the main man.

It is no coincidence that our better form has been with him in the side. An excellent footballer. Some folk in our ground won’t like him as he’s not the type who’d chase blowing crisp packets. So much ability. Great brain. Good touch. Can score, can create and an absolutely top shithouse. I’m a bigger critic of our players than anyone. But I do not understand why folk have an issue with him. He’ll have ineffective games ( eg Blackburn) as any player of his type does. We’re a better side for him in it.

Looks like a really good footballer at this level.
And he's delivering big time for us at the moment.
And he's got an edge to him, a bit like Arnie had.
Love him.

It's hard to tell without knowing him but the inconsistency could be mindset/ confidence. If it is and ONeil gets into it, he's easy prem quality.

www.theleaguepaper.com/featured/9758/robertson-column-powells-rare-talent-is-finally-being-fulfilled/ON THE day I signed for Crewe Alexandra in the summer of 2012, their Reaseheath training ground was bristling with pride.
I remember Neil Baker, Crewe’s long-standing coach, saying “He’ll play for England,” as though it were a statement of fact. Mind you, Sir Alex Ferguson agreed.
His talent was never in doubt. His application was where the question mark lay. My new team-mates told me Powell had done things in training that would make you rub your eyes in awe, though not always with the ball.www.ibtimes.co.uk/manchester-united-nick-powell-can-still-match-dele-alli-rise-tottenham-says-crewe-boss-steve-1541791?"I would put him in the same bracket as Dele Alli. I know he hasn't shown that yet because of the problems he has had with injuries, but if he gets the chance to showcase his talent then there is no reason why he cannot be as good as that,"
I just hope Nick proves us right because we always felt he would go on to play for England and make an impact at the top level.""I honestly believe if Sir Alex would have stayed at United, Nick would have developed into a real top-class player - and I really thought he'd play for England, I really did. He's that good. He can link the play, he can play people in, he can shoot and he's very decent in the air. So they have got a player that can play in any position, but I think his best position is playing off the main forward" - Neil Baker www.theguardian.com/football/football-league-blog/2018/aug/15/nick-powell-wigan-memories-crewe-sir-alex-ferguson-manchester-united“I just think he’s a game-changer – he will win games for you at any level,” the former Wigan manager says. “He’s somebody you have to constantly challenge, the game comes too easy to him sometimes. If you’re just doing a simple drill, he can almost get bored because he is so talented. “I remember one day we had trained at the stadium – and the training was poor, to be honest, and I had had a go at the players – he suddenly scored from what must have been about 40 yards past Jussi Jaaskelainen and everyone just thought: ‘Wow, did he just do that?’ “He would score goals in training that would be just an absolute joke, 30- or 40-yarders into the top corner. Physically, he is a lot stronger than people think, he is a lot quicker than people think; he has a great change of speed. He can dominate games when he wants to, and at the flick of a switch.” "He was about 16 when I first joined Crewe; he trained with the first team at a very young age and straight away had that arrogance which you need to be a top player. Sometimes that went a little bit too far but his ability and the speed of his thinking was way ahead of anything I’ve ever seen. He was on another level. In my head, I always, always thought he would play for England. The experience he has gained from that switch to United – good and bad – playing with the quality of those players, all of that is invaluable for him to get back to that level, which he is absolutely capable of doing.” Powell, described by Caldwell as an introvert, is at home at Wigan "He still has the potential to play for a United or another top club. I said to him when I signed him: ‘You have the potential to play for England but you have to go and show that.’”
