Stoke City have been exemplary in their season ticket pricing for the past eleven years and we've all enjoyed the benefit of this.
The club now has a major decision to make in deciding whether or not to extend the Early Bird Season Ticket deadline. Clearly in the current climate many people will be fearful, perhaps, of losing their job or being put on short time. Clearly some will not want to outlay monies in uncertain times.
The current problem for SCFC will be cashflow - as with all football clubs. The balance then will be in either extending the deadline and assisting those who are financially stretched, with others jumping on the bandwagon, or sticking with the original date and taking what money they can whilst alienating/losing some of the support.
This will, undoubtedly, be a subject currently being discussed by the board.
And before anyone questions my finances i can say that, yes, i can afford to and will renew by the end of the month.

As there is now virtually no sport to bet on I should think the owners business (not their wealth) will suffer quite a lot too.

I renewed today by phone, my finances allow that Decision was made of the basis of ability to do so and to show my financial and tangible support to the club that’s a massive part of my life at a time they need me the most , I chose to do it by phone as it’s a method I prefer , but also in a tiny way to try support the ticket office staff as a sign to the club that they’re very much needed its an evolving situation , and for many in the coming weeks , months finances are likely to be a real worry , but would encourage anyone able to afford to do similar , support your club and indeed your local shops wherever possible

With the uncertainty going on surely the club have to suspend the sales of season tickets for now.

You would hope so but Scholes is probably on holiday yet again. If so it may be a long time before we ever see him again! Hurrah! 😎😎

Just a reminder that as Chair of the council, I asked the club, by mail on Sunday if early bird sales could be extended. I am still awaiting an update. As soon as I get a response the council will inform everyone by social media, message board. You may have see that the club have released a statement re postponed fixtures

I've got £90 worth of Reading Tickets and £ 150 odd quid of Wigan tickets all of which I'd like to return with no prospect of the games being played anytime soon. That money is better in my bank account given what is likely to happen to my job and income in the very near future. Can we return those now for a refund? EDIT - another thought...apparently when returning tickets, they only refund the cost of the ticket and not the administration fee that is charged per ticket rather than per transaction. Presumably, refunds in this instance will be IN FULL as given the number of tickets I've bought, that would be another lost £15-£20. With the tickets being sold for events that were not taking place as advertised, presumably the admin fees will be refunded as well?

Dave, reading the info from Stoke, it looks as though you have to wait for the re arranged dates to be confirmed before you can do anything about refunds

The £250 odd quid I'm out of pocket for match tickets reduces my chances of spending £520 on season tickets for me and my boy before 6th april.

Anyone renewed their's yet?
Its a difficult one as lots of people will be feeling uncertain in regards to their jobs, some have already lost them, so cash for becomes a problem. I think that the club could extend at the very least to 2 weeks prior to the season starting, whenever that will be announced. Lots of uncertainty in terms of long term future of cubs, what league we will be in, financial situation of people.
Thoughts?

Renewed my seat before the Hull City match and was happy to do so. Have sat in it since the day the stadium opened in 1997 and hope to retain it for as long as I remain mobile.
Hope that those around me will also renew, as it has been like family and we have enjoyed the good times together in the middle of the Main Stand, as well as having shoulders to cry on in more desperate days..
Here’s hoping for more of the former and still being blessed with MON the miracle man.
Am proud that the Coates family have made the grand gesture of retaining for the immediate future the staff at the stadium and Clayton Wood.
The present season must be completed even it means being there only in spirit. The new season cannot come quickly enough. Just wish that I could hibernate and wake up to discover that the present nightmare was truly just that.
Good luck to you, as supporters, owners, employees and true Stokies everywhere and do join me in looking forward to the renewal of friendships and the stadium buzz inspired by those players who share our enthusiasm.

Well done to Stoke City again for freezing season tickets again. There isnt many other clubs who would have frozen prices for so long. Thankyou to everyone at the club. I have already purchased mine
