A gritty performance overall
Butland - 8 showing way more confidence and made some important saves. Keep it up jack Smith - 8 Kept his flank quiet and one crucial tackle in the box Baath - 7 Solid using his head Collins - 9 MoM looked absolute class Indi - 7 Solid
Clucas - 8 Was all over the place and getting stuck in Allen - 6 Seemed a bit lost today Thompson - 6 Weakest player, he is finding his feet but his corners are class Powell - 7 Found it hard out wide Ince - 7 great work-rate and made tackles but not so creatine
Campbell - 7 very lively again
A great game from the defensive side

Really? A 9 out of 10? Are you serious? It was more like a 10/10. Well done Collins. He will be a top centre half.

Butland - 8 look confident today, some terrible clearances tho Smith - 7 made some of the most important defensive plays of the game, poor on the front foot Baath - 6 was good, but also seems to blackout and forget where he is at times Collins - 9 class all around Indi - 6 defended well, but has to be the worst passer on the squad
Clucas - 9 MOM, he's far and away our best player Allen - 7 didn't hear his name much Thompson - 7 had some nice balls into the box Powell - 6 did some good things, but gave the ball away too much Ince - 7 I agree with the great work-rate and made tackles comment, poor on the front foot as well (our right side is just awful)
Campbell - 7 love this kid, but was out on an island all night
Gregory - 0 couldn't have played worse Cousins - 7 did well in limited time Chester - N/A didn't notice him once

Butland - 7.5, not bad, but mistakes like the one when their goal was disallowed doesn't fill me with confidence. Had a couple of really good saves after that. Smith - 7.5 A solid game all in all. Baath - 8, Solid again. Collins - 8, a couple of minor mistakes, but over all a good performance. Indi - 6, our weakest link at the back because of his lack of pace, and too often beaten in the air as well.
Clucas - 8, good game. Allen - 7, worked hard as always, but not his best game. Thompson - 6, thought he did OK, but nothing more. Powell - 6, several bad decisions on the ball, but certainly didn't hide. Ince - 7, defensively very good, but I'd like to see him more involved offensively.
Campbell - 7, not bad, but a bit too quiet in my opinion.
Gregory 5, good runs, but really struggled to control the ball. Cousins 6, worked hard and made an important defensive contribution after coming on. Chester, not on long enough to be given a mark.

Butland 6 - Fairly solid but got lucky with their offside goal. Smith 6 - Poor crossing again, fairly solid defensively. Batth 6 - Won most of his battles but continues to switch off at times. Collins 7* - Couple of minor hiccups but MOTM Martins Indi 7 - Thought he played really well, especially with the hapless Powell in front of him. Thompson 6 - A lot to like about him, occasionally dwells on the ball for too long. Allen 6 - Scrappy performance but still pressed well and broke down a few of their attacks. Clucas 6 - Had a really good 20 minute spell, quiet for the remainder but worked hard. Ince 5 - Offers nothing offensively, decision making is pitiful. Powell 5 - Almost everything he tried didn’t come off. Guilty of trying to be too clever on several occasions. Campbell 5 - Don’t think he’s fully fit, looked laboured.
Cousins 6 - Always impresses as a sub. Gregory 1 - 2 points for pulling the ball out of the sky and controlling it on a sixpence, minus 1 for tripping over his own feet 2 seconds later. Chester - n/a

Bizarre ratings Powell as good as Collins????...WTF Allen 7 and Clucas 6??? Neither were great but I would put it the other way round, at least Clucas looked to create a few things, Joe struggled to get into the game.

Their ratings always read as if they're from someone that hasn't seen the game and they have a massive hardon for Allen, if he got a red after 10 seconds it would be at least a 7.

Spinksy refreshes well at the game I think. If he'd been rating the Stoke 0 Birmingham 7 match in 1998, he'd have given Kofi Nyamah and Steven Tweed 7 a piece.

Was a real lack of movement all round up top to be fair

Butland - 7 clean sheet is good, was concerned when he retreated when the player was clean through but made the save, his kicking was a bit dodgy, too many long high balls that came straight back Smith - 7 one of his best performances defensively I thought (not saying alot!), didn't do anything going forward though Baath - 7 pretty solid, did his job, still worries me though. Collins - 9 he's our best defender imho, thought it from his first game, you can just tell he's got a big future, should have been played more regularly. Indi - 7 Ok for the most part, bit dozy on the ball at times.
Clucas - 8 pretty impressive for the most part, i thought he was our most creative spark and kept their midfield at bay Allen - 6 wasn't much in the game and struggled a bit, looks knackered, no creative element really Thompson - 5 - struggling a bit for me Powell - 5 - i can understand keeping him on as he's always capable, but he plays every game like its a friendly, its ok if you are Maradona, but he's not. Too casual tonight and lucky to get away with it. Ince - 6 - worked hard, but just not imposing himself enough on the game Campbell - 6 bit disappointing, but always capable, he looked knackered i thought, it was worrying how Gregory made so many more decent runs compared to Campbell, though no comment on the rest of Gregory's game

It was a truly shocking game of football, devoid of any quality whatsoever. Struggling to see how anyone could watch that game and give any player on the pitch anything above a 6. Two poor sides really and neither looked particularly threatening.
We defended well and it was a point on the road which is never a bad thing - but to be giving ANY player on that pitch an 8, 9 or 10 you'd have to have incredibly low standards.

I'm a bit anti-Batth but in games like this or WBA away when we're defending deep with shit loads of balls into our box Danny Batth looks class, it's when we have a bit more of the ball particularly in home games he doesn't look so comfortable.

Bayern gives his marks on his like/dislike of the player not on performance. I'd clicked in he's trying to cover for Collins not clearing the ball his side I didn't even know it was Collins tbh until Muttley mentioned it last night. When I was watching it I was screaming for Butland to come for it and he didn't, that's what I was judging it on. It seemed an easy situation for the keeper to dominate and he didn't.

Butland-7. Played well after the first minute. Smith -6. Okay, but we have got zero attacking threat on the right with him and Ince. Ba’ath-7, still ducked out of 2 headers, but also won some vital ones. Collins-8, let Armstrong get the wrong side once ( good save Butland), otherwise no panic at all. BMI- 7 defended well, but his inability to pass to a Stoke player is ridiculous
Ince -6 defended okay, has the attacking threat of a butterfly. Allen-6 plenty of effort, so if it’s good enough for Ince’s fans it’s certainly good enough for Allen. Clucas-7 pick of the midfield. Thompson-6 same as Ince and Allen - worked hard, did nowt with the ball. Powell-6, we need to play him as a 10- move Clucas wide, he is a better bet than Thompson out wide.
Campbell -6, not sure if he made the right runs and our midfield were just incapable of playing the ball on the floor, or whether he was just too deep.
Cousins -6. No different than Ince, Allen, Thompson. Gregory-5; as they say, couldn’t score in a brothel.
