Interesting, actually thought Chester did well Saturday and if anything Collins would play instead of Batth.

Nathan Collins and Tyrese Campbell.
Academy has been largely anonymous for years but christ these two are talents.

I’m fairness he’s barely played for Villa. Go on stoke

He’ll be saving Chester for Saturday in my opinion for the more important game alongside Shawcross

Very sensible decision from MON and shows he is learning from previous.
Chester has had a hectic few weeks after not playing for 12 months and has looked ok at best.
Big chance for Nathan to cement his claim tonight

having Vokes, MBD and Gregory all as subs makes no sense to me

Pleased to see Diouf back on the bench. Hope it's followed with some action not too late in the game.

Chester was very poor Saturday. Particularly in the first half where he had 13 aerial duels and only won 2 . Plus he was caught dwelling on the ball twice

having Vokes, MBD and Gregory all as subs makes no sense to me The Germans call it Mäddchen für Alles. some call it adaptable to any demands (that obviously doesn't apply to Vokes). I just call it Mame Diouf. He can play anywhere and will do if called upon. Gregory is not quite so well versed in taking up positions. But he and Mame will run all day. Vokes won't.

Diouf on the bench suggests to me an hour, at most, for Powell and then Diouf on one wing, Ince on other - and that MON was less than impressed with Ngoy when he came on on the wing recently. I'd not be surprised to see Cousins make an appearance again, especially if we are leading going into the last 20 minutes.

having Vokes, MBD and Gregory all as subs makes no sense to me Agreed Vokes obviously offers something different up front Diouf covers the wide positions or could be a like for like change for Campbell. You don't need Gregory as well. Another midfielder or defender would make sense to me

Not really a risk as Chester looks a liability in away matches in his current fitness, I think Lindsay/Shawx we are being cautious with which only really leaves Collins.
If we concede 4 again then nothing lost nothing gained - give it a shot I say - we may unearth a gem
He has looked massively naive in the games he has played and he should have gone out on loan 1st half the season and got some game time/experience. We would have been the beneficiaries of that now instead of him having a massive learning curve in the middle of a relegation battle.
3-2 to Stoke Collins to score all 5

As soon as Ryan fit, it's Ryan with Collins/chester. Baath fooked off anywhere but our first team

Only one defender on bench, that's a risk
