v Fulham like he did against us. He's centre forward, centre mid and left wing with no one going with him. Just detail your best man marker to stay with him.

Easier said than done. I recall us trying to mark Pirlo out of the game in 2014. Never got close

For all his personal shortcomings one of the best English players of the last 20 years, I hope he is not still at Derby next season.

Is there a dirtier player than Harry Arter? Maybe Xhaka but he is a scummy player.

Best English player since Gazza.
Anyone saying different has an agenda against him personally or doesn’t like him because he played for Man Utd.
Class is permanent, could still do a job in the PL.

If you said "arguably the best English player since Gazza" I wouldn't argue, but there are other contenders, including other Man Utd players.

When you're that good, at this level, even a dedicated man on will struggle. He's an exceptional footballer.

Wasn't the general consensus on here not so long ago that he was finished? A washed up player who's legs had gone?
In fact, there's no need to answer because I know it was.
The bloke was always going to stand out in this division, he's a complete different class to any other footballer in this league.

Is there anything to stop Bet365 buying a player for Stoke and paying his wages like 32Red have for Derby? Apart from 365 probably not being a permitted shirt number but I'm sure we could get round that somehow. Or is this just another way Derby have circumvented financial fair play which will now be blocked to other clubs. You have to credit Derby with imaginative ways of breaking the rules.

Rooney is about 4 levels too good for this division.
Will they have him next season as well?

He did the same to Fulham as he did to us. There isn't a player in this league capable of man-marking him out of a game. The penno wasn't in the same class as Peter Hoekstra's though. Great goal by Mitrovic. Fulham keeper was brilliant. OS.

Be interesting to see what he does in the summer because surely there will be Premier League clubs back in for him? Depends how serious he is about taking on his coaching role at Derby.
