Do you live in a parallel universe where you just see letters and words what you want to see? I really would like to know how you have come to such a bizarre conclusion to my previous post. Popcorn time.

I think they will now for one reason. We now have one policy the points based new policy. This will stop any legal issues with favoritism over one set of people against another. With the "open" boarders now going/ gone things will tighten up. Could this be time for compulsory Identification cards to be introduced ? it would certainly make it far easier to identify individuals who are here illegally, I agree about the points system as a natural way of reducing un needed economic low skilled migrants coming here, I feel this is a positive move on the governments part and will sit well with the feelings of millions of British tax payers and voters. No a photo driving licence shouldd be sufficient minimum information necessary to confirm identification Of course some sort of similar identification for non drivers may be necessary to help stop the socialists from trying to rig elections

Those cheeky French, sending us all their immigrants.
What next, ffs, plane loads of Romanians to pick fruit?
Grrr, it makes me seethe. If only we'd had some way to control immigration.
Oh, we always did...

I can understand remainers finding it difficult to come to terms with leaving the EU though, it was a shock.

It must be horrific imagine living under "UK" laws then switching to China 😳 Seriously? You'd be happy for 3.2 million people to come to the UK because they have a piece of paper that says they're English Scottish Welsh Irish or whatever? This little island is bursting at the seams if you hadn't noticed. A question for you. We are told the population is 65m - 70m officially... How many is too many on this island? We can only support and finance what we have now let alone accommodating every man and his dog. If your for open borders, how about advocating open borders for Japan, Nigeria, Cambodia, Vietnam etc etc Why are you happy for open borders for European nations and not advocating it for others?

That's not what I'm saying at all I thought it was clear I feel sorry for them now being under Chinese rule compared with what they were used to under British rule nothing more than that.

Yep I'd be happy if they are entitled to come to Britain we should absolutely fucking honour it although happy is probably not the right word as I'd be devastated for them that they have had to leave their homes and everything behind but as a country we either take a moral position on things like this or we might as well give up. They are british we are duty bound to offer them refuge if they wish and they find themselves in the position they might soon do.

Corona has made our peasant liberal "Center Party" change their minds regarding immigration. For the first time ever they've said they want a stop to immigration or at least diminish it. They are prepared to do almost anything to get an agreement with the Conservatives, our "Moderaterna".
So now five out of eight political parties in little Sweden want to stop immigration. That's 80 % of the votes.
The Christ Democrats The Conservatives The Sweden Democrats The Social Democrats The Center Party
The Left Party, The Green Party and The Liberals haven't changed direction yet, but they probably will.
Corona dramatically has showed our lack of capacity, especially within health care.

Thats the point. The article refers to 'emergency' measures. This is an escalating and ongoing problem and again Farage is going to be the one who , in my opinion, represents general public feeling and is holding the government to account....which is what you like to do. An article in a local newspaper 3 months ago won't do that.

Apart from the bad PR of putting them in a hotel of a brand that is known for being quite fancy, I'm not sure what the government is supposed to have done here.

It needs people like Farage for the public to wake the fuck up to the reality of what’s going on in their country and do something about it. I’m not shocked but it is truly shocking
