Anyone else totally fed up with this imbecile commentating ?
" Koke showing his age there " F*ck, he"s only 28 ffs
instead of just doing comments, he"s almost taken up the whole commentry, and so biased to Liverpool its embarrasing
+ his voice gets on my tits
Switched over to watch Dortmund v PSG, even Keown sounds good [ and that"s saying something]

My house when a game is on BT.
Me: “Stick the football on”
Son: “Will do”
Me: “Who’s commentating?”
Son: “Steve McManaman”
Me: (switches telly off in disgust)

I still laugh at the 'Spice Boys' tag given to himself and other footballers from his era, it captured something of the times.

Klopp showing his true colours, Simeone rousing the crowd, Diego Costa coming on to the last 15 minutes to rile Liverpool even more! What's not to like? The is how numerous 'smaller' teams have been treated at Anfield for years!

I still laugh at the 'Spice Boys' tag given to himself and other footballers from his era, it captured something of the times. Like Adam Crozier's immutable, unwittingly damning 'Golden generation' soundbite to describe the England squad of his era,the pejorative spice boys tag has likewise clung to McManaman's Liverpool squad like a fetid albatross follows a doomed mariner. Reaching a splendidly fitting denouement with the ice cream coloured suits at Wembley.A magnificent effort to render a whole squad truly unlikeable without even setting a combative foot on the pitch. David James? writing a 100k cheque to pay an instant fine in order to skip training and go on an Armani modelling assignment is another after dinner speaker's dream anecdote.

The same David James who ended up broke driving a 10 years old Astra. Bet he wished he had stayed and done the training session when he looked back at it.

Does anyone like any pundits ever? The post is about a co-commenting and in a televised game where you can see what's going on for the most part I don't think the particularly add anything to what the lead commentator has said (apart from annoyance). A good one - Lee Dixon for example - can enhance the experience of a radio commentary.

I quite like Jermaine Jenas JJ is surely being groomed as the next MOTD presenter when Gary Lineker finally hangs up his joke book. I read it somewhere that Lineker will do next season then leave (probably cash in on another channel as the government get rid of the bbc) and JJ will take over. Lineker is excellent as a presenter. I would like to see Crouch take over that role. I think he would be an excellent presenter. In terms of pundits, Carragher, Neville, Souness, Scott, Aluko (particularly her written analysis) are all good. Shearer is improving. I like Savage as well even. I don’t often agree with many pundits but I prefer the ones with strong opinions rather than Murphy or Jenas Often pundits take time to become good, Shearer was awful at the start but has improved massively. I remember hating Mark Lawrenson at the start, but he became very good (with crap jokes).

It might help if occasionally he was a bit less one-eyed and admitted that Liverpool players do sometimes commit fouls.
Last night there were a number of times where he was whinging about the referee when the camera clearly showed that the Liverpool player had kicked the opponent and not the ball.
